PREFACE
Since its establishment, one of the main projects of the Human Rights Foundation of Turkey has been the Project for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture Survivors.
The project began in 1990 and by the beginning of 2000, a total of 4696 people had applied to the treatment and rehabilitation centers of HRFT. This number reached 5719 with a further 1023 people applying to the centers in 2000.
