Diyarbakır Governorate declared that an explosion occurred during the passage of a civilian police vehicle on Kamışlo Boulevard in Diyarbakır on March 26, 2026. It is learned that no one was killed or wounded due to explosion.

Through the investigation initiated after Newroz celebration in Istanbul, 26 people are detained on the allegations of ‘making propaganda for an illegal organization’ on March 27, 2026.

On March 27, 2026, 12 people including Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım are detained in operations in Uşak, Kocaeli and Ankara through an investigation initiated by Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, on the allegations of ‘bribery’.

On March 27, 2026, 13 people including deputy mayor Ö.H. are detained through an investigation against the municipality of Marmaris district of Muğla on the allegations of ‘bribery’ and ‘irregularities’.
(03/126) Human Rights Defender on Trial in Istanbul…
The trial of the case against human rights defender Nimet Tanrıkulu continued on March 26, 2026 at Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No 24. The indictment demands sentence for Nimet Tanrıkulu on the charge of ‘being an illegal organization member’. It is learned that the court limited the number of lawyers to three and told lawyers “either one of you should appear or I will choose who will appear”. The court issued a decision of lack of jurisdiction for the case against Nimet Tanrıkulu due to another case against her in Diyarbakır on the same allegations, and lifted the signature requirement for Tanrıkulu, and ruled for the continuation of judicial control measure of ban on leaving the country.
Nimet Tanrıkulu, who was detained on November 26, 2024 in Istanbul and was arrested on November 29, 2024 in Ankara, was released at the trial held on March 4, 2025.

The trial of the case against singer Fatih Karaca, known as Mabel Matiz, on the grounds of his song “Perperişan”, continued on March 27, 2026 at Istanbul Criminal Court of First Instance No 54. The indictment demands sentence for the singer on the charge of ‘mediating the publication of obscene publications’. The court adjourned the hearing to April 30, 2026.

On March 26, 2026, it is learned from the news coverage of March 26, 2026 that 3 answers of artificial intelligence assistant Grok to questions about Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Faculty of Pharmacy were banned on the grounds of national security and protection of public order.
