On October 15, 2025, nine individuals were detained by police following a press conference held by Student Collectives in front of the Kadıköy District Directorate of Youth and Sports in Istanbul.

According to news reports on October 15, 2025, an investigation was launched by the Mardin Kızıltepe Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against journalist Öznur Değer, who was subjected to torture and other ill-treatment by the police while being detained on February 7, 2025, on the grounds of “resisting a police officer on duty.”

On October 15, 2025, a stone-throwing attack was carried out on the district headquarters of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) in the Toroslar district of Mersin. It was reported that one person was detained in connection with the attack, which caused material damage to the building.
