It is learned from the news coverage of August 18, 2025 that, some clothes sent to prisoners in Ankara Sincan Prison No 4 were not delivered to prisoners on the grounds that they were not new and were sent by cargo from Ankara.
It is learned from the news coverage of August 19, 2025 that, Eriş Membari, an Iranian citizen prisoner in Erzurum Dumlupınar High Security Prison was subjected to torture and ill-treatment.
It is learned from news coverage of August 19, 2025 that, some books sent to Adana Kürkçüler F Type Prison and Adana Suluca High Security Prison were not given to prisoners on the grounds that they contain words like “Kurdistan” and “guerrilla”, although they are banderoled and there is no confiscation or banning order.

It is learned from news coverage of August 19, 2025 that, prisoners in Adana Kürkçüler F Type Prison and Adana Suluca High Security Prison were subjected to mouth searches during hospital transfers and prisoners who reject this were not taken to hospital.

17 of 44 people including Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney, who were detained on August 15, 2025 through an investigation against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), were arrested by the criminal court of peace on August 18, 2025. 27 people were released on judicial control conditions.

It is learned from news coverage of August 18, 2025 that, T24 reporter Can Öztürk is subjected to an investigation by Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on the grounds of ‘publicly spreading misleading information’ for his news reports on sexual harassment allegations against an academic, and that the journalist was called to Istanbul Security Directorate to give his statement.

On August 19, 2025, it is learned from news coverage of August 19, 2025 that Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office prepared an indictment against 2 people, Selma Karpuz and Gökhan Türkoğlu, for the graffiti they wrote on the wall during a protest at Saraçhane Square in Fatih district of Istanbul, to protest detention and arrest of IBB Mayor. The indictment demands sentence for 2 people on the charges of ‘damaging public property’ and ‘insulting the President’.
Selma Karpuz and Gökhan Türkoğlu were arrested on April 17, 2025; Selma Karpuz was released on June 4 and Gökhan Türkoğlu on June 13, 2025.

It is learned from news coverage of August 19, 2025 that, Istanbul Governorate did not give permission for an investigation on the complaint made by lawyer Bilge Ocakcıoğlu, who was subjected to torture and ill-treatment during police intervention to a protest at Saraçhane Square in Fatih district of Istanbul, to protest detention and arrest of IBB Mayor.
