It is learned from the news coverage of February 3, 2025 that Antalya Public Prosecutor’s Office initiated an investigation against lawyer Cemil Çiçek on the grounds of ‘publicly disseminating misleading information’ for his social media post “I never believe that this person committed suicide. He might have been eliminated by someone” about the death of prisoner İlker Gönen in Antalya Döşemealtı High Security Prison.

It is learned that Şırnak Public Prosecutor’s Office initiated an investigation against Abdullah Güngen, Şırnak provincial co-chair of Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), on the grounds of ‘insulting the Justice and Development Party (AKP) mayor of Şırnak’ and Abdullah Güngen gave his official statement at Şırnak Security Directorate.

It is learned from the news coverage of February 3, 2025 that Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office initiated an investigation against actress Melisa Sözen on the grounds of ‘making propaganda for an illegal organisation’ for playing a YPJ militant in a TV series broadcast in France in 2015 and that Melisa Sözen gave her official statement through the investigation.
(02/023) Detained People Through an Izmir Based Investigation…
On February 4, 2025, 7 people are detained in operations covering 6 cities (Izmir, Ankara, Aydın, Hatay, Tokat and Malatya) through an Izmir based investigation on the allegations of being in military secret structuring.
