It is learned that the appeal made on July 30, 2024, to the chief public prosecutor’s office in Bursa by lawyers in order to visit their clients PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, Ömer Hayri Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş in İmralı Prison was not responded.

It is learned from the news coverage of July 30, 2024, that journalist Ruşen Takva received threatening messages on social media after he interviewed a child (16, m) who spray-painted the warning sign in Kurdish “Pêşî Peya” (pedestrian first) placed by Van Metropolitan Municipality at a pedestrian crossing and wrote “Turkey is Turkish, Turkey will remain Turkish” on it.

It is learned from the news coverage of July 30, 2024, that B. S., a soldier who was targeted on social media for dancing halay to a Kurdish song at a celebration in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul, was detained at the military service branch in Aydın and was arrested by the criminal peace judgeship on the charge of ‘making propaganda for an illegal organization’ and was sent to prison.

It is learned that 4 musicians out of 6 people (1 wedding owner and 5 musicians) who were detained in a police raid on July 28, 2024, on the grounds of Kurdish music being played at a wedding in Hakkari, were arrested by the criminal peace judgeship on the charge of ‘making propaganda for an illegal organization’ on July 29, 2024. It is learned that 1 of the 2 detainees was released after statement procedures at the police and 1 was released after statement procedures at the prosecutor’s office. The names of the arrested people are Naci Tekce, Bedirhan Uçar, İlhan Akdoğan, Ali Osman Tekin.

On July 30, 2024, at least 15 people including Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Van provincial co-chairs Veysi Dilekçi and Gülşen Kurt were detained in house raids in Van on the allegations of “making propaganda for an illegal organization”.

It is learned from the news coverage of July 29, 2024, that, Lawyers’ Association for Freedom (ÖHD) Diyarbakır Branch and Diyarbakır Bar Association filed a criminal complaint to the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on the charges of ‘inciting hatred and hostility among public’ and ‘damaging public property’, for defacing the warning signs in Kurdish “Hedî” (Slow) and “Peşî Peya” (Pedestrian First) written by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality at pedestrian crossings.

It is learned from the news coverage of July 29, 2024, that 1 news report on https://www.krttv.com.tr about the seizure of 240 tons of drugs sent from Turkey in Guatemala was banned from access by Ankara Çubuk Criminal Peace Judgeship on July 29, 2024, on the grounds of violation of personal rights.
