Torture-Related Early Pregnancy Loss: A Case Report [2020]

This presentation focuses on a case of early pregnancy loss as an example of the physical and mental effects of torture leading to mortality and morbidity. Since the practice of torture is a subject of both international human rights law and criminal law, this case is shared to emphasize the importance of conducting evaluations in forensic examinations in accordance with the Istanbul Protocol and the high ethical and independence principles of medicine.
