It is learned from the news coverage of September 8, 2021 that, 2 militants died in a clash between Turkish Armed Forces units and HPG militants in Gire Sor area of Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government.
(09/062) Homeland Party Chair on Trial…
The final trial of the case against the Homeland Party chair Muharrem Ince, on the charge of ‘resisting a public officer to prevent his duty’ is held at Istanbul Silivri Penal Court of First Instance No 4 on September 8, 2021. In 2011, during the trials of “Ergenekon Cases” in Silivri Prison Compound, Muharrem Ince had a quarrel with a military officer intervening him; and a case against him was opened in 2016.
The court sentenced Muharrem Ince to 5 months and deferred the announcement of the verdict.
(09/063) People on Trial in Osmaniye…
It is learned that the indictment of Osmaniye Public Prosecutor’s Office against Müslüm Çağan, who was deputy candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and Erdal Tecik, who was the announcer of Newroz celebration in Osmaniye in 2018, is accepted by Osmaniye Heavy Penal Court No 2 on September 8, 2021.
The indictment demands sentence on the charge of ‘making propaganda for an illegal organisation’.
The first trial will be held on December 18, 2021.

On September 8, 2021, 10 people are detained in operations covering 3 cities through an Adana based investigation and 1 person in an alleged attempt to illegally flee abroad is detained in Edirne.
(09/065) Covid-19 Pandemic…
The Ministry of Health declared that 262 people died due to Covid-19 pandemic and the daily number of Covid-19 cases is 23,914 as of September 8, 2021.
The death toll from Covid-19 in Turkey increased to 59,339 and total number of confirmed ill patients is 6,542,960 as of September 8, 2021.
On September 7, 2021, pharmacist Tuna Karadeniz in Antalya lost his life due to Covid-19.
On September 9, 2021, pharmacist Mehmet Murat Sepin in Antep lost his life due to Covid-19.
On September 10, 2021, nurse Kezban Gürsoy in Sakarya and pharmacist Cemile Berra Tüfekçibaşı in Kütahya lost their life due to Covid-19.
