It is learned that the police prevented the march of Republican People’s Party (CHP) Youth Branches to Ministry of Justice in Çankaya district of Ankara on October 8, 2025. It is reported that CHP members made a press declaration after being prevented by the police.
(10/059) Police Intervention to a Protest in Elazığ…
On October 7, 2025, the municipal police intervened the members of Furkan Foundation who hung banners for the conference to be organized by Furkan Foundation in Elazığ and confiscated the banners and banners. On October 8, 2025, the police used tear gas chemical agent to intervene Furkan Foundation members who gathered in front of the municipality police headquarters to take their banners and posters. It is learned that no one was detained during the intervention.

The trial of the case against journalist Reyhan Hacıoğlu continued on October 9, 2025 at Van Heavy Penal Court No 2. The indictment demands sentence for Reyhan Hacıoğlu on the charge of ‘being an illegal organization member’. The court decided to continue judicial control measures against Reyhan Hacıoğlu and adjourned the trial to January 6, 2026.
Reyhan Hacıoğlu was arrested on January 20, 2025 and was released at the first hearing of the case on June 13, 2025.
(10/061) Publishing House Owner and Publishing House Employee on Trial in Diyarbakır
The first trial of the case against Hakkı Boltan, owner of Aram Publishing House, and Delil Zengeralp, employee of the publishing house, for 2 books seized by the police from the stand of the publishing house at a book fair in Diyarbakır in 2024, started on October 9, 2025 at Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No 4. The indictment demands sentence for 2 people on the charge of ‘making propaganda for an illegal organization’. The court adjourned the trial to January 27, 2026.
(10/062) Lawyer on Trial in Diyarbakır
The trial of the case against lawyer Adile Salman continued on October 9, 2025 at Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No 5. The indictment demands sentence for the lawyer on the charge of ‘being an illegal organization member’. The court decided to continue the judicial control measure of ban on leaving the country and adjourned the trial to January 15, 2026.
(10/063) Indictment Against Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Executives…
It is learned from the news coverage of October 8, 2025 that Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office prepared an indictment against 14 people including 5 arrestees, on the grounds of concerts organized between 2021 and 2024. The indictment demands sentence for 14 people on the charge of ‘embezzlement’.
5 people were arrested on September 27, 2025.

Governorate of Tokat made a declaration on October 9, 2025 and banned demonstrations, press declarations, open and closed meetings, protests, rallies, tents, sit-ins, opening stands, hunger strikes, commemoration ceremonies or visits for commemoration purposes, hanging banners, placards, posters, distributing flyers and leaflets, opening petition tables, lighting and carrying torches, concerts, conferences, panels and similar actions and events for 3 days as of October 9, 2025.

On October 8, 2025, it is learned from news coverage of October 8, 2025 that the social media account of Sendika.org news portal is banned to access on the grounds of national security and protection of public order.
