(08/039) Labour Killings…
On August 7, 2023, the Worker Health and Worker Safety Council (ISIG) revealed that at least 182 workers including 23 women, 10 children and 8 migrant workers died while working in July, 2023. 1071 workers including 100 women, 30 children and 52 migrant workers died in labour killings in the first seven months of 2023.

It is learned from the news coverage of August 7, 2023 that, a prisoner named Ahmet Göğün in Diyarbakır High Security Prison No. 1 was injured by a bullet that hit his body in the yard of his ward.
(08/041) Investigation Against People in Şırnak…
It is learned that an investigation was launched against 6 people including the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Silopi district co-chair Asuman Külter who held banners in Silopi district of Şırnak to protest the intervention demand of the Presidency of Religious Affairs in the Kobane Case, and that they made their official statements to the District Security Directorate on August 7, 2023.
(08/042) Proceedings Against Parliamentary Members…
It is learned from the news coverage of August 8, 2023 that, 15 proceedings demanding lift of impunity of 12 parliamentary members are sent to the Grand National Assembly.
Parliamentary members subjected to proceedings are:
- The Greens and Left Future Party (YSP) group deputy and Erzurum MP Meral Danış Beştaş
- YSP Kars MP Gülistan Koçyiğit
- YSP Muş MP Sezai Temelli
- YSP Diyarbakır MP Berdan Öztürk

(08/043) Banned Concert in Afyon…
It is learned that the concert of musician Gökçe as a part of Sandıklı Thermal Tourism Festival in Afyon on August 11, 2023 was banned by Sandıklı Municipality on August 7, 2023. The district mayor made a declaration and stated the following: “The organization we planned on August 11, 2023, has been cancelled on the grounds of the social media posts of the musician we invited which are in support of LGBT and are slanderous against our President, which were seen as a result of my personal investigations (…) Let those who share this content take the stage in Sandıklı, they cannot enter the borders of our district!”
