(09/042) Detained People in Diyarbakır…
On September 6, 2021 at least 4 people (Gökhan Yıldız, Berzan Yıldız, Ercan Yıldız, Cevat Yıldız) are detained in house raids by gendarmerie in Yukarıturalı rural neighbourhood of Hani district of Diyarbakır. The reason of detention is unknown.
(09/043) DBP Executive on Trial in Diyarbakır…
The first trial of the case against the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) provincial co-chair Seval Gülmez is held at Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No 11 on September 6, 2021.
Seval Gülmez joined the trial form prison via sound and vision system. After defence hearings the court decided to release Seval Gülmez and adjourned the trial to December 6, 2021.
Seval Gülmez was detained on April 5, 2021 and was arrested by the court on April 12, 2021.
(09/044) Lawyer on Trial in Tunceli…
The first trial of the case against lawyer Zafer Çellik is held at Tunceli Heavy Penal Court No 1 on September 6, 2021.
After defence hearings the court decided to continue detention of Zafer Çellik and adjourned the trial to September 27, 2021.
Zafer Çellik was arrested on the charge of ‘being an illegal organisation member’ on April 1, 2021.
(09/045) Case of Mehmet Sincar…
The retrial of the case against Cihan Yıldız, for murder of Mehmet Sincar on September 4, 1993, who was Batman MP of the Democracy Party back then, is held at Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No 6 on September 6, 2021.
The court rejected to arrest Cihan Yıldız and adjourned the trial to February 14, 2022.
(09/046) Ban of Access to Web Contents…
It is learned that two websites of Jinnews news agency https://www.jinnews32.xyz and https://www.jinnews34.xyz are banned to access on the grounds of “protection of national security and public order” by Diyarbakır Penal Court of Peace No 5 on September 6, 2021.
(09/047) Covid-19 Pandemic…
The Ministry of Health declared that 271 people died due to Covid-19 pandemic and the daily number of Covid-19 cases is 20,962 as of September 6, 2021.
The death toll from Covid-19 in Turkey increased to 59,077 and total number of confirmed ill patients is 6,519,046 as of September 6, 2021.
