It is learned from the news coverage of November 7, 2023, that Ekrem Gün, a prisoner in Balıkesir Bandırma T Type Prison No 2, is kept in a single ward, and letters and books sent to him are not delivered to him.
It is learned from the news coverage of November 7, 2023, that during ward searches in Istanbul Bakırköy Women’s Prison, some personal belongings of prisoners were seized, and prisoners were subjected to verbal violence.

The final trial of the case against Emine Ayna, former Democratic Regions Party (DBP) co-chair and former Diyarbakır MP, on the charge of ‘making propaganda for an illegal organization’ was held at Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No 4 on November 7, 2023. The court sentenced Emine Ayna to 2 years and 6 months for ‘making propaganda for an illegal organization’ for her speeches at demonstrations and events between 2013 and 2016.

The final hearing of the case against Gazete Kadıköy Editor-in-Chief Semra Çelebi, for her social media post was held on November 6, 2023, at Istanbul Anadolu Penal Court of First Instance No 10. The indictment demands Semra Çelebi be sentenced for ‘degrading the signs of state sovereignty’. The court acquitted Semra Çelebi.

The trial of the case against SGDF MYK member Müslüm Koyun continued on November 6, 2023 at Eskişehir Heavy Penal Court No 2. After defenses the court decided to continue detention of Müslüm Koyun and adjourned the trial to January 23, 2024. Müslüm Koyun was detained on April 30, 2023 and arrested on May 3, 2023.

On November 7, 2023, the final trial of the case against Ayten Öztürk, who was detained in Lebanon on March 8, 2018, and was allegedly subjected to torture and ill-treatment during 6 months of interrogation by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), for her book “Resistance and Victory in Fascism’s Secret Torture Houses”, is held on Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No 28. The indictment demands a sentence for Ayten Öztürk on the charge of ‘making propaganda for an illegal organization’. The court acquitted Ayten Öztürk.

The retrial of the case against police officer Volkan Hicret on the grounds of killing trans woman Hande Buse Şeker by sexually assaulting her on January 9, 2019, in Izmir, was held on November 6, 2023. The court adjourned the trial to December 5, 2023.

On October 6, 2023, it was learned that the opening of the stand within the scope of the petition campaign initiated by Alaplı and Ereğli Environmental Volunteers Platform in the Ereğli district of Zonguldak was banned by the district governorate on the grounds of ‘protection of public order and public health, fundamental rights and freedoms and the freedoms of others and the maintenance of general public order’ and the stand was removed.

It is learned that a total of 479 news reports and posts on various websites and social media platforms mentioning the name of the Director of National Intelligence Service (MİT) were banned from access on the grounds of violation of personal rights by the Istanbul Penal Court of First Instance No. 4 on November 6, 2023, and the content was ordered to be deleted.
