(07/050) Stands Attacked and Police Intervention…
Police intervention against the stands of political parties and publishing houses on Konur street in Ankara continued on 6 July 2015. The police collected all the flags, posters and banners on the street. The police also attacked persons by using tear gas detained 13 members of Revolutionary High School Students (DEV-LİS) during intervention.
(07/051) Extra-judicial Execution Trial in Van…
On 6 July 2015, Ankara Heavy Penal Court No 6 continued to hear the case against 18 retired and regular soldiers launched in connection with the killings of the HPG militants Sunullah Keserci and Necmeddin Ahmed Hasan, and villager İbrahim Atabay (18) on 6 October 2009 in Buğulukaynak (Kel) village in Çaldıran district of Van. According to the indictment, the militants were unarmed and trying to leave the village during the incident. But Beşir Atalay, who was the Ministry of Interior Affair then, alleged that the militants died during an armed clash.
After hearing the demands of the lawyers, the court rejected the demand for the arrest of the defendants and adjourned the hearing to 14 September 2015.
The case was transferred to Ankara for security reasons. The grave of Sunullah Keserci was reportedly opened on 26 September 2014 and the body was transferred to İstanbul Forensic Institute for autopsy and examination. The court still waits for the report of Forensic Institute.
(07/052) Pressures in Prisons…
According to the news appeared in the press on 7 July 2015, 3 prisoners in incarcerated in Osmaniye T-type Prison No 2 were transferred to separate prisons without their demand. The prisoners were reportedly taken from their cells to talk about the results of the general elections.
(07/053) Protest Attacked in Şırnak…
On 6 July 2015 in Uludere district of Şırnak, military troops opened fire against Roboskî villagers when they wanted to march to Şirik highland to protest in the recent pressures in Roboskî, killings of villagers’ mules by the soldiers, and closure of Şirik highland on the grounds of being military security zone. The soldiers also used tear gas to disperse the crowd. İsa Encü was shot at his belly during the intervention.

The police conducted house raids on 6 July 2015 in Bulanık district of Muş and detained 5 members of Democratic Regions Party (DBP). The reason of the operations was not disclosed.
(07/055) Pressures in Prisons…
According to the news appeared in the press, a prisoner incarcerated in Çanakkale E-type Prison was taken to hospital on 5 July 2015. The prisoner was allegedly taken back to prison without being examined, when the physician in Çanakkale State Hospital wanted the soldiers to leave the prisoner alone for examination according to the Istanbul Protocol.
(07/056) Retrial of Former MP…
İstanbul Heavy Penal Court No 10 concluded on 7 July 2015 to hear the re-trial of Sebahat Tuncel. The court acquitted Sabahat Tuncel from the charges of “being member of an illegal organisation”.
Constitutional Court ruled on 26 February 2015 that People’s Democratic Party (HDP) former MP Sabahat Tuncel’s rightto fair trial and to trial within a reasonable time were violated in the court case launched against her on charges of “being member of an illegal organisation”. She was sentenced to 8 years and 9 months’ imprisonment in this trial by the İstanbul Heavy Penal Court No 10. Relying on the decision, the case was sent back to the court for re-trial for abolishment of the violation and its results.
