It is learned from the news coverage of November 2, 2025 that, 2 militants died in a clash between Turkish Armed Forces units and HPG militants in Zap area of Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on January 4, 2025; 2 militants died in a clash on March 20, 2025; and 2 militants died in clashes in April.

According to Bianet’s “Male Violence Register,” at least 22 women and 3 children were killed by men across Turkey in October 2025. The statement also noted that men committed violence against at least 79 women, harassed 14 women, abused 14 children, and forced 150 women into sex work.

On November 3, 2025 it is learned from the news coverage of November 3, 2025 that Eda Saraç, a prisoner in Istanbul Bakırköy Women’s Prison was not given the medication she needed to take.

It is learned from the news coverage of November 3, 2025 that 3 students of Bartın University who were leaving a cafe in Bartın, were attacked by members of Ülkü Ocakları and were wounded in various parts of their bodies.

On November 4, 2025, gendarmerie conducted house raids in Bolu and detained at least 2 members of Socialists Party (SOLDEP). The reason for detention and names of detainees could not be learned.
(11/037) Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor and Other People on Trial in Ankara…
The trial of the case against 12 people including Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, on November 3, 2025, continued at Ankara Criminal Court of First Instance No 26 with the allegation of irregularities in CHP’s 38th Ordinary Congress, where Özgür Özel was elected as the chairman. The indictment demands 12 people to be sentenced for ‘violating the election law’. The court adjourned the trial to January 13, 2026.

The trial of the case against Ahmet Özer, the trustee-appointed mayor of Esenyurt district of Istanbul, continued on November 3, 2025 at Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No 14. The indictment demands sentence for Ahmet Özer on the charge of ‘being an illegal organization member’.
The court adjourned the trial to January 23, 2026.
Ahmet Özer was arrested on October 30, 2024 and was released at the first hearing of the case on July 16, 2025 but was not released as he was arrested on January 21, 2025 through another investigation.

The final trial of the case against former Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır MP Semra Güzel, who was detained on September 2, 2022 after her immunity was lifted, and was arrested by the court on September 3, 2022, is held at Ankara Heavy Penal Court No 22 on November 3, 2025. The court sentenced Semra Güzel to 8 years and 9 months in total, 6 years and 3 months for ‘being an illegal organization member’ and 2 years and 6 months for ‘forgery of official documents’ and ruled for her release on judicial control conditions.

The final trial of the case against Hasan Şencan, a member of the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Assembly, on the grounds of a social media post he made in 2020, was held at Ankara Penal Court of First Instance No 18 on November 4, 2025. The court acquitted Hasan Şencan on the charge of ‘insult’.

The trial of the case against journalist Ahmet Kanbal, on the grounds of his programs on the Maraş earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023, started on November 3, 2025 at Adıyaman Criminal Court of First Instance No. 5. The indictment demands sentence for Ahmet Kanbal on the charge of ‘publicly disseminating misleading information’. The court adjourned the trial to January 16, 2026.
(11/042) Journalists and Other People on Trial in Istanbul…
The final trial of the case against 9 people including 7 journalists (Hayri Tunç, Gülistan Dursun, Pınar Gayıp, Serpil Ünal, Can Papila, Muhammet Enes Sezgin, Osman Akın), for the press declaration in Istanbul on December 21, 2024, about journalists Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin who lost their lives in North and East Syria, is held at Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No 24 on November 4, 2025. The court acquitted 9 people on the charges of ‘violating Law No 2911 on Meetings and Demonstrations’ and ‘making propaganda for an illegal organization’.
7 journalists (Gülistan Dursun, Can Papila, Pınar Gayıp, Serpil Ünal, Hayri Tunç, Muhammed Enes Sezgin and Osman Akın) were arrested on December 21, 2025 and were released on January 31, 2025 with the decision of appeal.

The trial of the case against CHP worker Gökhan Gülyurt, on the grounds of driving his party bus into police officers who warned him to stop, is held at Ankara Penal Court of First Instance No 72 on November 3, 2025. The indictment demands sentence for Gökhan Gülyurt on the charge of ‘resisting to prevent the execution of duty in a chain’. The court adjourned the trial to February 23, 2026.
(11/044) Military Personnel on Trial in Hakkari…
The indictment of Hakkari Public Prosecutor’s Office against Specialized Sergeant İ.S. for allegedly inflicting violence on a child named E.T. (10, m) and breaking his arm on August 13, 2025 was accepted by Hakkari 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance. The indictment demands sentence for the defendant specialist sergeant on the charge of ‘intentional injury’. The first hearing of the case will be held on February 25, 2026.

On November 4, 2025, it is learned from news coverage of November 4, 2025 that journalist Serdar Akinan’s X social media account and Youtube channel were banned from access on the grounds of ‘protection of national security and public order’ and that the account was made invisible from Turkey.
