(08/021) Male Violence Monitoring Report…

According to the “Male Violence Monitoring Report” of Bianet published on August 2, 2023, at least 22 women and 2 children were killed by men in July 2023. It is also reported that at least 63 women were subjected to violence, 7 women were harassed, 10 children were abused, 15 women were forced to sex work by men in July 2023.

It is learned that the appeal made on August 3, 2023 to chief public prosecutor’s office in Bursa by the lawyers of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, in order to visit him was not responded.

(08/023) Detained Person in Şırnak…

It is learned that a person named İzzettin Cin who was detained in Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak on August 1, 2023 was released by the court on judicial control conditions on August 3, 2023.

(08/024) Investigation Against CHP Executive in Ankara…

It is learned that Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation against the Republican People’s Party (CHP) Youth Branch chair Gençosman Killik on the grounds of the leaflet about former Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and that Gençosman Killik made his official statement on August 3, 2023.

(08/025) Banned Event in Istanbul…

It is learned from the news coverage of August 4, 2023 that the “An Enormous Exhibition” event of CHP regarding price hikes in Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul was banned by the district governorate’s office
