(08/031) Operations and Attacks…

It is learned that 2 soldiers were injured in an explosion, which was reported to have occurred during the counting of the ammunition store at the Çakır Söğüt Gendarmerie Brigade Command in the central district of Şırnak on August 3, 2022.

It is learned that 10 soldiers were injured in the military vehicle accident in the rural areas of Uludere district of Şırnak on August 3, 2022.

(08/032) Attacks on Cemevis and Alevi Associations in Ankara…

On July 30, 2022, attacks have been carried out against Şah-ı Merdan Cemevi (Alevi House of Worship), Turkmen Alevi Bektashi Association, Tuzluçayır Democratic Alevi Association, Ana Fatma Cemevi, Gökçebel Village Association, and Batıkent Serçeşme Cemevi, and 3 people were detained in relation to the attack. One of them (Ahmet Ozan K.) is arrested by the court on the charges of ‘provoking hatred and hostility among people’, ‘damaging worship and cemeteries’ and ‘preventing the use of freedom of belief, thought and conviction’ on August 3, 2022 while 2 people are released on house confinement.

(08/033) Torture and Ill-Treatment in Prison…

It is learned from the news coverage of August 3, 2022 that, in Ankara Sincan T Type Prison the wards are over capacity, the food given to prisoners is inadequate and of poor quality, the prisoners were not regularly given cleaning supplies, their social, cultural and sports rights are prevented and the number of books kept by per prisoner is limited to 5.

(08/034) Police Prevention to a Protest in Ankara…

The police prevented the press declaration to be made in front of the Constitutional Court in Ankara on August 3, 2022 by the members of the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) regarding those arrested in the Gezi case. It is learned that the press declaration was held in another place upon prevention.

The police prevented the press declaration to be made by the members of the Workers’ Party of Turkey (TİP) in front of Yediiklim Publishing House, about the allegations of leakage of Public Personnel Selection Exam (KPSS) questions, in Ankara on August 3, 2022.

(08/036) Prevention to a Protest in Izmir…

The police, citing the ban decision of the governor’s office, prevented the watch protest in front of the municipality building on August 3, 2022, by the workers who were dismissed while working as a subcontractor within the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.

(08/037) Ban of Access to Web Contents…

It is learned that the website of Etkin News Agency https://www.etha45.com is banned to access on the grounds of “protecting national security and public order” by Diyarbakır Penal Court of Peace No. 4 on August 3, 2022.
