(11/275) Bomb Attack in Istanbul…

1 person who were detained in relation to the bomb attack in Istiklal Street of Beyoğlu district in Istanbul killed 6 people including 2 children, and wounded 81 people on November 13, 2022; is arrested by the court on November 29, 2022. The total number of arrestees raised to 26.

17 of 51 people, including Ahlam Albashır, the Syrian citizen who was claimed to be the assaulter who have been detained earlier, were arrested by the court on November 17, 2022, 2 of them were arrested on November 20, 2022, 5 of them were arrested on November 21, 2022 and 1 person was arrested on November 28, 2022. 5 people were released provided that 3 of them will be on judicial control conditions, and the court has decided to deport 29 people.

(11/276) Police Intervention Against “I Want My Job Back” Protest in Ankara…

The police intervened the press declaration which was made within the scope of “I Want My Job Back Protest” in front of Human Rights Monument in Yüksel Street on November 29, 2022 and forced people away from the monument by using physical violence.

(11/277) Preventions and Interventions Against 25 November Protests…

It is learned from the news coverage of November 26, 2022 that 2 foreign women including 1 student were sent to Selimpaşa Repatriation Center for deportation, after being detained by the police intervening in the march of 25 November – International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, in Beyoğlu district of Istanbul on November 25, 2022, were decided to be deported.

Gülten Matur, who was announced by the General Directorate of Security to be detained on the grounds of “being a member of DHKP-C organisation” on November 28, 2022, is arrested by the court on November 29, 2022.

(11/279) Detained People in Diyarbakır…

It is learned that 30 people who were detained on the grounds of reports about them, in house raids in Diyarbakır on November 26, 2022, are released after statement procedures at the police on November 29, 2022.

(11/280) Detained People in Hakkari…

It is learned that 3 of 16 people who were detained in house raids in central, Yüksekova and Şemdinli districts of Hakkari on November 27, 2022 on the grounds of ‘being an illegal organisation member’ and ‘making propaganda for an illegal organisation’; are arrested by the court on the charge of ‘making propaganda for an illegal organisation’ on November 29, 2022. 13 people are released after statement procedures at the prosecutor’s office.

(11/281) Detained People in Adana…

It is learned that 8 people including 3 children who were detained in Adana on November 26, 2022; are released by the court on judicial control conditions on November 29, 2022.

(11/282) Detained People in Ankara for Social Media Posts…

It is learned from the news coverage of November 30, 2022 that, 2 foreign nationals were detained in Ankara on the grounds that they shared images of tearing Turkish Lira on social media.

(11/283) DEVA Party Member on Trial…

The trial of the case against the Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA) founder member Metin Gürcan is held at Ankara Heavy Penal Court No. 26 on November 29, 2022. The indictment demands sentence for Metin Gürcan up to 20 years on the charge of ‘espionage’. After defence hearings the court adjourned the trial to March 9, 2023. Metin Gürcan was arrested on November 26, 2021 and was released at the trial held on May 11, 2022. He was arrested once again upon the prosecutor’s objection and was released at the trial held on June 15, 2022.

(10/284) HDP Member on Trial in Diyarbakır…

The trial of the case against HDP Youth Assembly member Esengül Kılınç, on the grounds of ‘being an illegal organisation’ is held at Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No. 4 on November 29, 2022. The court adjourned the trial to February 28, 2023. Esengül Kılınç was arrested on May 20, 202 and was released by the court at the first trial held on October 18, 2022.

(11/285) Ban of Events in Mardin…

Mardin Governorate’s Office made a declaration on November 29, 2022 and announced that all open door and indoor meetings, marches, press declarations, hunger strikes, opening stands and tents, collecting petition, distributing leaflets and so on are banned for 15 days as of November 30, 2022.
