(09/001) Phobic Attack in Istanbul…
It is learned from news coverage of September 1, 2025 that trans women were subjected to a phobic attack in Beyoğlu district of Istanbul on August 31, 2025 and at least 1 trans woman was injured.
One of the trans women who was subjected to phobic attack stated the following in her statement to the press “An extremely drunk man first disturbed the passersby on the street and then started harassing us. He attacked and kicked one of our friends as we were entering our house. While we closed our door and waited inside, we saw him talking to a large group of people outside. When a friend of ours went to him to understand what was happening and to talk to him, he attacked him too, even though he didn’t even speak Turkish. That friend of ours also has a battering report. We chased him to scare him in order to defend our friend (…) We only defended ourselves.”
(09/002) People Subjected to Physical Violence by the Mayor…
It is learned from news coverage of August 29, 2025 that, Halil Sait Kocagümüş and Ceyhun Çabuk, 2 municipal police officers from Kale district of Denizli province, were subjected to physical violence of Mayor Erkan Hayla for refusing to lay parquet in a school garden.
Ceyhan Çubuk, who was subjected to physical violence, stated the following in his police statement reflected in the press “I was made to do hard labor even though it was not in my job description. When the mayor came and started hitting me with a stick, he kept hitting me even though I said ‘Stop it, Mayor’. We couldn’t calm him down, and when the stick finally broke, he said, ‘If you don’t want to work, get out of here,’ and took us away from the school. I think his aim was to intimidate us and force us to resign.”
Halil Sait Kocagümüş, on the other hand, stated the following in his police statement reflected in the press: “I had a herniated disc and meniscus surgery before. I refused to lay paving stones because of these ailments and because it was not in my job description. On the second day, while we were waiting in front of the camera again, the chairman came towards us with a stick in his hand. He hit Ceyhun Çabuk’s back twice hard with the stick. The stick broke on the second hit. If the stick hadn’t broken, the consequences could have been worse. While I was trying to calm the president down, I was hit on my finger.”

It is learned from the news coverage of August 30, 2025 that prisoners in Adana Suluca L Type Prison were forced to clean the corridors of the prison.
(09/004) Police Intervention to a Signature Stand in Istanbul…
It is learned from the news coverage of September 1, 2025 that, municipality police officers intervened the petition stand of Şahintepesi Housing Assembly in Şahintepe neighbourhood of Başakşehir district of Istanbul and 1 person was subjected to physical violence during the intervention.

It is learned from the news coverage of August 29, 2025 that 29 video chat platforms were banned to access by Ankara Penal Court of Peace No 3 on August 20, 2025 and Ankara Penal Court of Peace No 4 on August 22, 2025.
It is learned that https://yenidemokrasi35.net/, https://devrimcidemokrasi4.org/ , http://avrupademokrat8.com/ websites are banned to access on the grounds of national security and protection of public order by Ankara Penal Court of Peace No 4 on August 28, 2025.
(09/006) Arrested Business People in Istanbul…
Emin Öner, the owner of ASSAN Group and Gürcan Okumuş, the general manager of the companies operating under the name of ASSAN Group, who were detained on August 27, 2025 in Istanbul on the grounds of ‘being in contact with the organization’ and ‘engaging in military espionage activities’, were arrested by the criminal court of peace on August 31, 2025. The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) was appointed as trustee to 11 companies operating under ASSAN Group.
