(08/026) Male Violence Monitoring Report…
According to “Male Violence Monitoring Report” of Bianet published on August 3, 2022, at least 28 women and 1 child got killed by men in July 2022. It is also reported that at least 12 women were forced to sex work, 64 women were subjected to violence, 17 women were sexually harassed and 16 children were abused by men in July 2022.

It is learned that the appeal made on August 2, 2022 to chief public prosecutor’s office in Bursa by the lawyers of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, in order to visit him was not responded.

The police intervened the press declaration of Şişli Municipality workers in front of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) in Ankara on August 2, 2022 and forced people away from the building by using physical violence.

Gülcan Alp, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) member who were detained in a house raid in Kars on July 26, 2022, is arrested by the court on the charge of ‘being an illegal organisation member’ on August 2, 2022.
(08/030) Ban of Events in Mardin…
Mardin Governorate’s Office made a declaration on August 1, 2022 and announced that all open-door and indoor meetings, press declarations, sit-in protests, opening stands, collecting petitions, distributing leaflets and so on; as well as entrance of people to participate in such activities are banned for 15 days as of August 2, 2022. All events are banned in Mardin for 1034 days since October 17, 2019.
