They told us that we had been summoned in connection with yesterday’s incident. When we arrived at the police station, my three friends and their families were also there. They told all of us to recount yesterday’s incident at the same time. There was no lawyer present while we were recounting the incident. After we finished, they took all of us, along with our families, into a room and kept us there for hours. Later, they put me and three of my friends into a car without telling us where we were going. While we were in the car, the police officer sitting in the front received a phone call. After the call ended, he told us, “We received a call from an important person, we are going back.” We returned to the police station where we had first been taken (…) The district governor, his son K.G., and two police officers entered the room. After that, a few more police officers whose names I did not know entered. K.G. said, “What happened to us…?” We were very scared and stood ready. The Mezitli district governor also insulted and threatened us. He said, “I will kill you.” K.G. slapped each of us in the face in turn. I did not react or insult him. Two of my friends tried to slap him, but he tried to defend himself. K.G. then beat another friend of mine more severely. The Mezitli District Governor also beat my friend, striking him in the chest with his knee.”
