It was reported that on August 30, 2026, in Trabzon, a woman wearing an Amedspor jersey was attacked by a racist group and forced to put on a jersey of another team over her own.
(08/105) Journalist Arrested in Aydın…
It was reported that journalist İrem Delice—who had been detained on the grounds of a social media post by the Aydın Denge Newspaper stating “Erdoğan has passed away” regarding the death of a person named Gülşen Erdoğan, and subsequently released under the condition of judicial supervision—was detained again on August 29, 2026, following an objection by the prosecutor’s office, and was subsequently arrested by the magistrate’s court to which she was referred.

According to news reports on August 29, 2026, it was learned that the court had granted a release order for comedian Deniz Göktaş, who had been arrested on July 3, 2026, on the grounds of charges of “insulting the President” and “denigrating religious values.” It was later reported that Deniz Göktaş, who had testified via SEGBIS before a magistrate’s court as part of a new investigation launched due to other remarks made during the show, was re-arrested on charges of “glorifying a crime and a criminal.” The report also noted that since Deniz Göktaş’s attorney was not notified, a lawyer was summoned from the bar association.

A man named Rıdvan Aslan, who was detained on August 29, 2026, in the Nusaybin district of Mardin, was arrested on August 31, 2026, by the magistrate’s court to which he was referred, on the charge of “being a member of an illegal organization.”
(08/108) Individuals Detained in Diyarbakır…
It was reported that on August 30, 2026, four people were detained in Diyarbakır on the grounds that they had hung posters in various locations throughout the cityof militants who had lost their lives in clashes . The names of those detained could not be determined.
(08/109) Individuals Detained as Part of an Investigation Targeting the “Süleymancılar” Community…
According to news reports on August 29, 2026, it was learned that 37 people detained on August 25, 2026, as part of an investigation into the religious community known as the “Süleymancılar,” were referred to the magistrate’s court on August 26, 2026, with a request for their detention. It was reported that the court ordered the detention of 35 individuals while releasing 2 on judicial supervision.
(08/110) Book Subject to a Seizure Order…
According to news reports published on August 28, 2026, a seizure order was issued against the book titled “The People Are My Witness,” which contains the defenses presented by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu in the case filed against him,. While the book was still in the printing stage, its sale was banned. The report also noted that printed copies were seized at the printing press.

According to news reports on August 29, 2026, it was learned that the YouTube channel—where JINNEWS publishes news, interviews, special reports, and video news, and which had previously been subject to access restrictions in Turkey—had been completely shut down by the platform in question.
