(08/174) Stop Warning…
Erhan Tanrıkulu (28) was shot at head and killed by security forces on the grounds that he did not obey stop warning when he was going home on 27 August 2015 nearby the Uluyor Police Station in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı.
According to the statement of an eyewitness, Erhan Tanrıkulu said “It’s okay, I’m just going home” upon stop warning, but the security forces opened fire.

Gendarmerie Specialised Sergeant Mustafa Kemal Özata who was wounded during an armed attack against a military troop on 14 August 2015 in the Dağlıca region of Yüksekova district in Hakkari died in the hospital on 28 August 2015.
Governorate of Van announced on 28 August 2015 that Çatak and Başkale districts were decided to be military security zones for 15 days starting until 12 September 2015. Entrance of civilians to the military security zones was also banned.
The police officers Ahmet Gılıç and İlker Narin were killed on 30 August 2015 during an armed attack in Kayapınar district of Diyarbakır.
The police officer Yılmaz Dikmen died and 5 police officers were wounded during an armed clash on 30 August 2015 that broke out after the attack against Security Directorate in Silopi district of Şırnak.
The same day in Silopi district of Şırnak, a police officer died and 4 police officers were wounded when a bomb exploded during the passage of a police vehicle.
14 civilians and 10 police officers were wounded when a police service bus was attacked with a rocket launcher on 29 August 2015 in Kızıltepe district of Mardin.
The police officer Ali Rıza Güneş (27) who was wounded during the armed attack on 28 August 2015 against the Security Directorate in Nazımiye district of Tunceli died in the hospital. According to the news gathered, 2 militants were killed; one police officer and 2 civilians were wounded during the armed clash that broke out after the attack.
An armed attack was organised on 29 August 2015 against the police officers who were on duty at Balıklıgöl State Hospital n Şanlıurfa. 2 police officers who were heavily wounded during the attack died in the hospital.
One soldier was wounded when BOTAŞ Gendarmerie Station in Midyat district of Mardin was attacked on 28 August 2015.
2 militants were reportedly died during an armed clash that broke out on 27 August 2015 nearby Ziyaret village of Lice district in Diyarbakır.
One temporary village guard was wounded and 2 militants were killed during an armed clash that broke out after an attack against a military troop on 29 August 2015 on Uludere-Şırnak road.
Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chair for Mazgirt district in Tunceli province Süleyman Canpolat was reportedly abducted for a whle when PKK militants closed a road on 29 August 2015.
A police officer was wounded when a police vehicle was thrown a bomb on 28 August 2015 in Kızıltepe district of Mardin.
A freight train was attacked on 30 August 2015 nearby Korkut district of Muş and 3 security officers were wounded.
Governorate of Tunceli announced on 30 August 2015 that Tunceli-Erzincan and Tunceli-Ovacık roads were closed for 3 days for security reasons.
Fırat Simpil (13) died when a bomb exploded during the passage of an armoured vehicle on 30 August 2015 in Silvan district of Diyarbakır. One civilian was heavily wounded during the explosion.

On 31 August 2015 in Silopi district of Şırnak, Fatma Ay (55) and her daughter B.Ö. Ay (14) were shot and wounded by the snipers located in the building of Security Directorate Traffic Branch when they were sleeping on the roof of their house.
Fatma Ay was heavily wounded and died in the hospital, B.Ö. was transferred to Batman for treatment.

Mazlum Turan (16) who did not obey the stop warning on a control point on 29 August 2015 in Kızıltepe district of Mardin was shot to death with a single bullet at his back of the neck and killed. Special Forces were conducting operations after the bomb attack against a police service and stopping vehicles for ID control. Since Mazlum Turan did not have a driving license, he did not want to stop.

Asım Serbest (20) who was serving compulsory military service in Silopi district of Diyarbakır allegedly committed suicide on 30 August 2015 with his rifle. He was registered to Diyarbakır.

Mehmet Bilir (65) and his sons Lokman Bilir, Ali Bilir and Mustafa Bilir who were detained under beating during the house raid on 30 August 2015 in Şırnak were reportedly hospitalised when their health conditions worsened.

The police conducted house raids on 25 August 2015 in Çukur quarter of Beyoğlu district in İstanbul in connection with a drug dealing investigation. Mustafa Kurşun and his wife Gülseren Kurşun were reportedly beaten during the raids.
(08/181) Hunger Strikes in Prisons…
The prisoners incarcerated several prisons and convicted in PKK and KCK cases continue hunger strike started to protest in the recent military operations and arrests. Hunger strike reached its 17th day on 31 August 2015.
According to the news appeared in the press, 27 prisoners incarcerated in Tekirdağ T-type Prison No 1 reportedly started hunger strike. Groups of 3 prisoners continue rotating hunger strike for 10 days. The prisoners were subjected to cell searches by the administration of the prison and they were also banned from common use areas.
90 prisoners incarcerated in Tekirdağ F-type Prison No 1 and 2 also started hunger strike. Groups of 9 prisoners continue rotating hunger strike for 10 days. The prisoners were reportedly banned from common use areas and were not given their vitamins.
Prisoners incarcerated in Silivri L-type Prison No 5 and 9 also started hunger strike. Groups of 4 prisoners continue rotating hunger strike in Silivri L-type Prison No 5. The groups are 9 prisoners in Silivri L-type Prison No 9. The prisoners were subjected to cell searches by the administration of the prison

The police intervened members of Revolutionary High School Students (DEV-LİS) who wanted to open a stand on 28 August 2015 on Konur Street in Ankara to promote their activities and to sell the paper Kızıl Bayrak. 11 persons including 4 children were detained during the intervention.

Following the demonstrations staged on the night of 30 August 2015 in Silopi district of Şırnak, Special Forces raided a house on the allegations that the persons in the house were members of Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Movement (YDG-H). Ali Ödük (20), Halil Can (22) and Faruk Aydın were killed during the raid.
Şırnak MP Ferhat Encü made a public statement and announced that the persons in the house were unarmed and took shelter in the house.

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair for Tekirdağ province Adlie Gülay Ertunç who was among 4 persons detained during house raids was arrested on 28 August 2015 on the allegations of “being member of an illegal organisation”.
The police conducted house raids on 28 August 2015 in Akdeniz district of Mersin and reportedly detained 5 persons.
Uygar Taner, Baran Şahin, Zülküf Koçyiğit, Ramazan Bal and Abbas Kayacan who were released after being detained in Ergani district of Diyarbakır were arrested on 28 August 2015 upon objection of the Public Prosecutor.
Rıdvan Tan (19) was detained during house raids in Silopi district of Şırnak was arrested on 28 August 2015 on the allegations of “being member of an illegal organisation”. HDP executive Yunus Tekas was also detained the same day during a house raid.
Ahmet Karak, Mehmet Erdal, Mehmet Aslan, Mehmet Dalsal, Metin Akdağ, Mutafa Çoban, Ahmet Karabulut, Ömer Taş, Adnan Hamo, Songül Yıldırım and Aziz Erdil who were among 13 members and executives of Democratic Regions Party (DBP) detained during house raids in Gaziantep were arrested on 29 August 2015 on the allegations of “being member of an illegal organisation”.
DBP Co-Chair for Diyarbakır province Hafize İpek who was detained during a house raid was arrested on 29 August 2015 on the allegations of “committing crime in the name of an illegal organisation without being a member of the organisation”.
According to the news appeared in the press, the police detained 2 persons on 29 August 2015 in Silopi district of Şırnak. The reason of detentions was not disclosed.
6 persons including HDP Co-Chair for Nazımiye district of Tunceli province Zülfü Yüksel were detained during the house raids conducted on 29 August 2015 in Nazımiye. 3 persons n Adana, 2 persons in Siirt and one child in Van were reportedly detained the same day.
Security forces conducted house raids on 30 August 2015 in Doğubeyazıt district of Ağrı and its villages. 14 persons including HDP Co-Chair for Doğubeyazıt district Sadık Taşçı were detained on the allegations of “being member of an illegal organisation”.
HDP Co-Chair for Arıcak district of Elazığ province Murat Özçelik was arrested on 29 August 2015 on the allegations of “aiding and abetting an illegal organisation”.
Co-Mayor of Nusaybin district in Mardin province Sara Kaya, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chairs for Nusaybin district Ziynet Algan and İdris Yavuz, DBP executives for Nusaybin district Alaveddin Aslan, municipality worker Şehmus Yiğit were detained on 28 August 2015 during the operations conducted in connection with the “self-governance” declarations.

(08/189) Killings by Unidentified Assailants in Şırnak…
According to the Forensic report, the 2 bodies found on 27 August 2015 nearby Kavallı village of Silopi disttict in Şırnak were İsmet Tatar (45) and his son Cengiz Tatar (19). İsmet Tatar was shot to death with a single bullet, but Cengiz Tatar was shot several times.
According to the information gathered, a close relative of İsmet Tatar was Justice and Development Party (AKP) candidate for Şırnak province for the 7 June 2015 general elections.

Yunus Koçak, former Chair for Justice and Development Party (AKP) youth wings in Diyarbakır, was killed on 31 August 2015 by unidentified person in front of his pharmacy.
According to the news appeared in the press, Yusuf Koçak recently made an official complaint with the security forces on the grounds that he was threatened by members of gendarmerie intelligence service JİTEM.

PKK militants closed the road between the Kulp and Lice diatricts of Diyarbakır on 31 August 2015. They opened fire against a civilian vehicle on the grounds that the driver did not obey the stop warning and killed the physician Abdullah Biroğul.
A police officer and a civilian were wounded when the Governorate in Cizre district of Şırnak was attacked on 31 August 2015. After the attack, the police conducted an operation against the municipality on the allegations that the attacker took sheltee in the municipality. One person was wounded during the operation when the police opened fire.
