It is learned that the appeal made on July 27, 2023 to chief public prosecutor’s office in Bursa by the lawyers of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, in order to visit him was not responded.
(07/214) Gendarmerie Intervention to Defenders in Muğla…
The gendarmerie prevented the group going to the tree felling area in Akbelen Forest in Milas district of Muğla, with the Republican People’s Party (CHP) chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu to support the rights defenders and residents protesting the three felling for a lignite mine intended to be established on July 28, 2023. It is learned that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was allowed in the forest while otgers were intervened by the gendarmerie using pepper spray and pressurized water. It is reported that the Greens and Left Future Party (YSP) Izmir MP Burcugül Çubuj was subjected to physical violence and was injured at the arm.

The Socialist Youth Associations’ Federation (SGDF) central execuive board member Hivda Selen who was detained at Çağlayan Courthouse in Istanbul on July 26, 2023 to make an official statement thorugh an investigation, was arrested by the court on July 27, 2023. The reason for arrest could not be learned.

A person named Hüseyin Ok who was detained in Diyarbakır through an Adıyaman based investigation, was arrested by the court on July 27, 2023. The reason for arrest could not be learned.

It is learned from the news coverage of July 27, 2023 that the news report about a prosecutor and their judge spouse in Diyarbakır, published on http://mezopotamyaajans.com website was banned to access by Diyarbakır Penal Court of Peace No. 1.
