It is learned that 1 police officer (Sedat Gezer) died and 1 police officer and 3 civilians were injured in the armed attack on Police House in Mezitli district of Mersin on September 26, 2022. It is reported that one person was detained in connection with the incident. It is also stated in the news reports that 2 people who allegedly carried out the attack died as a result of the explosion of the explosives they were carrying.

It is learned that 1 soldier (Osman Özsoy) died in the crush of a truck with a military vehicle in Iyidere district of Rize on September 23, 2022.

It is learned from the news coverage of September 26, 2022 that, Fatih Özgür Aydın, an ill prisoner in Adana Kürkçüler F Type Prison was not given regular medication for 3 months.

Ramazan Dişarı, an employee of Demokratik Modernite magazine who was detained while selling the magazine at the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) provincial congress in Tekirdağ on September 25, 2022, is arrested by the court on the charges of ‘making propaganda for an illegal organisation’ and ‘financing an illegal organisation’ on September 26, 2022.

The trial of the case against HDP’s former Diyarbakır MP Çağlar Demirel, for her declarations and events she participated in, is held at Diyarbakır Penal Court of First Instance No. 4 on September 27, 2022. The prosecutor declared legal opinion on the case and demanded sentence for Çağlar Demirel on the charge of ‘degrading the state of Republic of Turkey and the government’ in accordance with the Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code. The court adjourned the trial to November 15, 2022.

The final trial of the case against journalist Sabahattin Önkibar, on the grounds of insulting the President over a social media declaration, is held at Istanbul Anadolu Penal Court of First Instance No. 53 on September 26, 2022. The court sentenced Sabahattin Önkibar to 11 months and 20 days.

It is learned that the Deputy Secretary General of the Independence Road Party, Münür Rahvancıoğlu, who came to Ankara from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on September 27, 2022, was not allowed to enter Turkey due to the N-82 restriction code on the grounds of “activity against national security”.

It is learned that a total of 12 contents including the news reports published on https://www.cumhuriyet.com.tr (2 news reports), https://www.sozcu.com.tr (2 news reports and 1 article), https://www.odatv4.com, https://www.birgun.net, https://www.milligazete.com.tr, https://www.gazeteduvar.com.tr, and 3 social media posts about Vogue Hotel and its owner are banned to access on the grounds of violation of personal rights and ruled to be deleted by Istanbul Anadolu Penal Court of Peace No. 4 on September 26, 2022.
