According to news reports on June 24, 2025, it was learned that the prison administration denied the prisoner named İpek Elif Ayman, who was transferred to Afyon 2 No. T Type Prison after being arrested as part of an investigation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), permission to have a family visit, citing a “system malfunction” as the reason.

Following a press statement made by lawyers on June 23, 2025, in front of the Çağlayan Courthouse in Istanbul to protest the arrest of Mehmet Pehlivan, the lawyer of Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, it was reported that a march planned from the Çağlayan Courthouse to the Istanbul Bar Association was blocked by police.

The final hearing of the trial against Cengiz Dündar, co-mayor of Kayapınar Municipality in Diyarbakır, was held on June 24, 2025, at the Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No. 5. The court acquitted Cengiz Dündar of the charge of “being a member of an organization.”
Cengiz Dündar was arrested on November 26, 2024, and released on January 13, 2025.

The final hearing in the case against journalist Derya Ren, who was accused of insulting the police officers who arrested her, was held on June 24, 2025, at the Antep Nizip Criminal Court of First Instance No. 5. The court acquitted Derya Ren of the charge of “publicly insulting a public official.”

On June 24, 2025, 60 people were detained in operations conducted in 8 provinces (Istanbul, Aydın, Balıkesir, Denizli, Bursa, Kocaeli, Eskişehir, and İzmir) as part of an Istanbul-based investigation targeting a company previously placed under receivership by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF).
