On July 24, 2024, it was reported that a person named E.K. (18, f) was injured in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari after being struck by an armored vehicle belonging to security forces.

On July 20, 2026, as part of an investigation into the Kocaeli İzmit Municipality, 30 people were taken into custody; 20 of them, including Mayor Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet, were arrested by the magistrate’s court to which they were referred on charges of “forming an organization to commit a crime,” “bribery,” “bid-rigging.”

On July 23, 2026, two individuals named Botan Uğan and Şahin Şerifoğlu were detained in the Cizre district of Şırnak on charges of “being a member of an organization.”

Fatma Soydaş, against whom the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation citing social media posts as grounds and who was detained in Istanbul on July 21, 2026, was referred to the on-duty magistrate’s court on July 23, 2024, after her statement was taken via the Video Communication System (SEGBIS). The court ordered the arrest of Fatma Soydaş on the charge of “disseminating obscene images, writings, or words through the press and media.”
