It is learned that 10 people including 5 members of AKUT and 5 forestry workers lost their lives during intervention to a forest fire in Eskişehir on July 23, 2025.
(07/162) Person Subjected to Physical Violence of Police Officer in Izmir…
It is learned from the news coverage of July 23, 2025 that, Ahmet Serdar Koyğun, a peddler in Izmir, was subjected to physical violence of the police officers with whom he had a quarrel, and was sprayed tear gas in his face from close range. It is also stated in the news reports that another person who intervened the incident was also subjected to physical violence. It is reported that Izmir Metropolitan Municipality initiated an administrative investigation against the police officers and suspended them.

Gendarmerie used physical violence and water cannons to intervene the protest of workers at Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant construction site in Mersin on July 23, 2025, on the grounds of not receiving their salaries. It is learned that no one was detained during the intervention.

It is learned that journalist Günay Aslan’s social media account X was banned to access on the grounds of protection of national security and public order by Ankara Penal Court of Peace No 12 on July 23, 2025 and the account was made invisible from Turkey.
It is learned that X social media account of former Sur Mayor Abdullah Demirbaş is banned to access on the grounds of protection of national security and public order by Osmaniye Penal Court of Peace No 2 on July 23, 2025.
