(11/148) Suspicious Death of a Soldier…
It is learned from the news coverage of November 24, 2025 that, İbrahim Halil Horuz, a soldier on compulsory military service in Sivas Temeltepe 5th Infantry Private Training Brigade, died 10 days before his discharge. It is stated in the news reports that İbrahim Halil Horuz’s family was informed that he strangled himself with a wire. His mother Cazibe Horuz stated the following about İbrahim Halil Horuz’s death in her statement to the press “They told me that my son strangled himself with a wire. I checked his throat, there was no trace. I do not believe that my son committed suicide.”

It is learned from the news coverage of November 24, 2025 that, Celil Ağaç, a soldier on compulsory military service in Kayseri Closed Prison, died on September 23, 2025. It is learned that his family was informed that Celil Ağaç, who was found shot in the head, committed suicide. His older brother Ömer Ağaç stated the following about Celil Ağaç’s death in his statement to the press “Celil had an argument with some friends last week for a simple reason. Then, while Celil was walking in the barracks, one of the privates he had a fight with cut in front of him and said, ‘Wait for your duty day, your day will be dark. You won’t make it to Friday alive’ and threatened him. Our last contact with Celil as a family was on Monday, September 22, the day before we received the news of his death. In this last conversation he had with my mother on Monday afternoon, Celil said, ‘They are telling me that they are going to kill you’.”

It is learned from the news coverage of November 23, 2025 that 266 prisoners including 141 prisoners in Open Prison, 73 prisoners in Closed Prison No 1 and 52 prisoners in Closed Prison No 2 in Sakarya Penal Institutions Campus were referred to hospital due to food poisoning.

It is learned from the news coverage of November 24, 2025 that the release of journalist Ali Barış Kurt, who was kept in Istanbul Maltepe L Type Prison No 1 and completed the execution of his sentence of 2 years and 4 months, has been adjourned for 6 months by Prison Administration and Monitoring Board (CİGK) on the grounds of ‘lack of remorse’.
(11/152) Private Security Units Intervene to a Protest in Eskişehir…
On November 21, 2025, it is learned that private security units intervened the protest in front of the dining hall in Eskişehir Anadolu University Campus and forced students out of the campus by using physical violence. It is also learned that a student who was filming during the intervention was prevented by private security units and his phone was taken away from him and his footage was deleted.

It is learned from news coverage of November 22, 2025 that Ministry of Interior gave permission for an investigation against Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş upon the demand of Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office.

On November 24, 2025, Mardin Heavy Penal Court No 2 accepted the indictment prepared by Mardin Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on the grounds of a news article published by journalist Öznur Değer.
The indictment demands sentence for Öznur Değer on the charge of ‘targeting people who took part in the fight against terrorism’.

On November 21, 2025, it is learned that CHP Provincial Directorate in İpekyolu district of Van was attacked by anonymous person or persons and material damage occurred in the building.
