It is learned from the news coverage of November 19, 2025 that, prisoners in Erzincan High Security Prison are allowed to ventilate only 1 hour a day, social, cultural and sports rights of prisoners are restricted, relatives of prisoners are forced to undergo mouth searches and those who reject to do so are prevented from doing so, and prisoners are banned from speaking Kurdish while using their telephone rights.

It is learned from the news coverage of November 19, 2025 that, prisoners in Erzincan High Security Prison who rejected to be examined in handcuffs during hospital transfers were taken back to prison without being treated.

On November 20, 2025, the march of Eğitim-İş Union from the Ministry of Education to Grand National Assembly of Turkey in Ankara is prevented by the police. It is learned that a second march on the same day was also prevented by the police.

The trial of the lawsuit filed on the grounds of the news article titled ‘Shock allegations against AKP’s Katırcıoğlu’s advisor and brother’ continued on November 12, 2025 at Kocaeli Criminal Court of First Instance No 12 against Kocaeli Newspaper reporter Cihan Polat and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Zoning Commission Member Lawyer Mehmet Nazım Gençtürk. The indictment demands sentence for 2 people on the charges of ‘violation of residential inviolability’, ‘violation of the Law on Protection of Personal Data’, ‘violation of privacy’ and ‘slander’. The court adjourned the hearing to a later date.

The first trial of the case against 11 people including lawyer Seda Şaraldı, a member of Contemporary Lawyers Association (ÇHD), started on November 20, 2025 at Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No 32. The indictment demands sentence for 11 people on the charge of ‘being an illegal organization member’. The court adjourned the trial to April 30, 2025.

The first trial of the case against life defender Ahmet Tatar, on the grounds of his remarks during the watch demonstration against the lignite mine in Akbelen Forest in Milas district of Muğla in 2021, started on November 20, 2025 at Milas Penal Court of First Instance No 6. The court acquitted Ahmet Tatar on the charge of ‘resisting to prevent the execution of duty’.

On November 21, 2025, the trial of the lawsuit filed at Istanbul Civil Court of First Instance No 45 regarding the annulment of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) Istanbul Provincial Congress held on October 8, 2023 continued. The court ruled the trustee committee appointed to CHP provincial administration to continue its duty and adjourned the trial to February 27, 2026.

On November 20, 2025, it is learned from the news coverage of November 20, 2025 that the following phobic and discriminatory statements were made by the President in his speech at the Family and Culture-Art Symposium “At a time when global capitalism is opening new fronts and cultural imperialism and digital siege are increasing their violence around the world, we are trembling over the institution of family. We take all necessary measures against impositions such as de-sexualization and deviant movements such as LGBT, and we do not allow the slightest compromise, negligence or complacency at this point. We are effectively combating content targeting the family, our social structure and our sacred values on social media and digital channels.”
