It is learned from news reports on August 20, 2025, that Cihan Gökalp, Ramazan Kaya, Sinan Bitik, and Ziya Ataman, prisoners held in Erzurum Dumlu No. 2 High Security Prison, were returned to prison without receiving treatment on the grounds that they refused to undergo examination while handcuffed.

According to news reports on August 20, 2025, it was learned that the release of Mervan Demirtaş, a prisoner held in Antalya High Security Prison who had completed his prison sentence, was postponed by the Prison Administration and Observation Board (CİGK).

It is learned from news reports on August 19, 2025, that an investigation has been launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against artist Müjdat Gezen on the grounds of “inciting the public to hatred and hostility” based on statements he made on his YouTube channel, and that Müjdat Gezen went to the Istanbul Provincial Security Directorate to give a statement as part of the investigation.

Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney, who was arrested by the Istanbul 3rd Criminal Court of Peace, was removed from office by the Ministry of Interior on August 19, 2025.

It is learned from news reports on August 20, 2025, that the social media account belonging to a person named Furkan Bölükbaşı had been blocked.
