(09/007) Attack on Mayor’s House in Muğla…
It is learned from news coverage of September 2, 2025 that, the house of Gonca Köksal Aras, elected mayor of Menteşe district of Muğla from Republican People’s Party, was attacked with molotov cocktails by unidentified people. It is reported that 2 children named Y.D.K. (16, m) and M.C.Ç. (15, m) were detained in relation to the attack and were arrested by the criminal court of peace.

On September 1, the police intervened the march in Van for World Peace Day. It is learned that at least 4 people were wounded due to the intervention. It is reported that no one was detained during the intervention.

The police intervened the watchprotest of Association of Families of Prisoners and Convicts (TAYAD) for Serkan Onur Yılmaz, who is on hunger strike in prison, in Ankara on September 1, 2025 and detained 8 people by using physical violence.

Can Taşkın, Managing Editor of Nevşehir-based CT News and Editor-in-Chief of CT News TV, was detained on September 1, 2025 for an article titled “Allegation of ‘Extortion List’ in Nevşehir: It is learned that he was detained on September 1, 2025 on the grounds of an article titled “The Name of the President and the Minister is Used” and was arrested by the criminal court of peace on the same day on the charge of ‘publicly spreading misleading information’.

On September 1, 2025, it is learned from the news coverage of September 1, 2025 that Özkan Bozkurt, founder and interviewer of YouTube channel Sarı Mikrofon, was detained from his house in Istanbul on August 29, 2025, and was taken to Çorlu in handcuffs on the grounds of recording a street interview in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, in which a person was shooting in the air with a rifle and another person was threatening “I will take everyone’s life”. It is reported in the news reports that Özkan Bozkurt was released by Çorlu Penal Court of Peace No 1 on judicial control conditions on August 30, 2025.

On September 2, 2025, it is learned from the news coverage of September 2, 2025 that the application made by the band Manifest for Erzurum Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Fair Center to give a concert in Erzurum was rejected by Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality on the grounds that their stage costumes were not suitable for Erzurum city.
