It is learned from the news coverage of December 1, 2023, that a lawyer was subjected to physical violence by the police in the Sur district of Diyarbakır, and his arm was broken due to physical violence.
Diyarbakır Bar Association stated the following about the incident: “On December 1, 2023 (today), a member of our Bar Association was subjected to violence by law enforcement officers on Gazi Street in Sur district and suffered a bone fracture in his arm.”

On December 3, 2023, the police intervened with Batman Youth Assembly members of Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (HEDEP) distributing leaflets in Batman and detained 7 people (Mehmet Ali Teknal, Serhat Salman, Adnan Vural, Samet Aravin, Seyithan Çetel, Fatih Başaran, Eyüp Alphan) by using physical violence. It is learned that 1 person (Mehmet Ali Teknal) was injured due to the intervention.
