(11/129) Phobic and Discriminatory Speech of Party Chair…

The following discriminatory and phobic statements were made by Fatih Erbakan, Chairman of the Yeniden Refah Party, in his speech at his party’s 3rd Ordinary Congress held in Ankara on November 16, 2025: “We will abolish the Istanbul Convention in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Instead of Law No. 6284, we will establish a domestic and national law that protects the family while protecting women (…) The struggle from now on will be between the foci that submit to global impositions and the Yeniden Refah cadres who prioritize the interests of our nation and country. We will put an end to LGBTI+ associations and their activities, which are one of the most important indicators of social collapse and immorality.”
