2 specialist sergeants were killed on 15 March 2017 because of a blast at Mazidag turn on Mardin-Diyarbakir highway.
(03/171) Curfew in the Villages of Lice…
During the military operation which was started after the declaration of curfew in 18 villages of Lice on 5 March 2017, 24 persons were detained. The brother of Ceylan Onkol is among the detainees. Ceylan Onkol was killed on 18 September 2009 by a mortar shell which fired from Yayla Station.

A group attacked the “No” stand, which was opened by the members of United June Movement in Denizli. A person was reportedly injured from his head and leg. The stand was closed because of the attack.
CHP Giresun MP Bulent Bektaşoğlu was attacked by group when he visited a coffeehouse in Giresun. 3 persons were reportedly detained in connection with this attack.
The police intervened on 15 March 2017 HDP members who were delivering “No” leaflets in Isparta. 2 persons were reportedly beaten. They were not detained but they were forced to wait on street for half an hour.
A vehicle which was used for the “No” campaign was confiscated by the police in Ercis district of Van on the ground that the vehicle could only be used for transportation.

11 persons, including Vice Co-Chair of IHD and Chair of Diyarbakir Branch of IHD Raci Bilici, were detained on 15 March 2017 in Diyarbakır. The detainees are executives of associations and trade unions. There is restriction about the detain case.

Gendarme raided on 15 March 2017 the premises of Municipality, DBP, and HDP in Balveren sub-district of Sırnak. Abdullah Tunç, Co-Mayor of Balveren, Sadun Sezer, DBP Co-Chiar for Balveren and the owner of the building in which the premises of DBP and HDP are were detained. The detainees were taken to Balveren Gendarme Headquarter.

Nazife Onay, who was expelled by a Decree with the Force of Law, started a sit-down action in Istanbul to retake his job. The police intervened the sit-down action on 15 March 2017 and detained Onay forcibly.

The public employees, who were expelled by a Decree with the Force of Law, started a sit-down action in Aydin to retake their job. The police intervened the sit-down action on 15 March 2017 and detained the Chair of Aydin Branch of Egitim-Sen forcibly.

38 persons, including 18 children, were detained on 15 March 2017 in Adana’s Seyhan district during house raids. The detainees were taken to Adana Police Headquarter.
13 university students, who were detained on 8 and 9 March 2017 in Ankara, were brought to court on 15 March 2017. A student was released after giving his statement to the prosecutor. 10 students were released with a judicial control decision. A student and a legal practitioner were arrested. The names of the persons who were arrested are as follows: Emrah Bakir and Ali Can Sut.
Co-Chair of Diyarbakır Branch of Mesopotamia Cooperation, Solidarity with the Families Who Had Lost Their Relatives Association (MEYA-DER) Ayse Dicle and 3 other persons, who were detained on 8 and 9 March 2017 in Diyarbakir, were brought to court on 15 March 2017 and were arrested for ‘being a member of an illegal organization.’

According to the news appeared in press on 15 March 2017, Vice Co-Chair of DBP Seydi Fırat was transferred from Elazig T Type Prison to Tekirdag F Type Prison against his willand demand.
(03/180) Banned Newroz Celebrations…
Batman and Siirt Governorates did not give permission for the celebration of Newroz on the ground that Newroz is not celebrated on its exact day. For the celebrations, in Siirt it was applied for 18 March and in Batman it was applied for 19 March.
(03/181) Banned Activities under the State of Emergency…
Governorate of Urfa banned on 15 March 2017 all meetings, demonstrations, public statements, press statements, sit in actions, stands and distribution of leaflets, and activities for a month starting from 10 March 2017 to 8 March 2017. The referendum activities of the political parties and the activities of public institutions, of public benefit associations and of the universities are excluded from this ban.
