The Minister of Family and Social Services made a statement on March 14, 2023 and declared that a total of 1,915 unaccompanied children were registered in the system, 1,698 of them were identified and given to their families, 133 children were in the hospital, 84 children were in the institutions of the ministry, and 40 children could not be identified.

The Republican People’s Party (CHP) Malatya provincial chair Barış Yıldız was subjected to a verbal and physical attack as he was speaking with earthquake survivors in Malatya on March 14, 2023. It is learned that Barış Yıldız was not injured.

It is learned from the news coverage of March 14, 2023 that, Malatya Governorate’s Office wanted to remove the food kitchen established by the support of the Felicity Party. Malatya Governorate’s Office made a declaration and stated the following: “Allegations on some social media accounts that a food kitchen belonging to an association is intended to be closed are completely unfounded. Since temporary workplaces will be built in the said area, the food kitchen tent will be moved to another suitable area. It will continue to operate in its new location.”
It is learned from the news coverage of March 14, 2023 that, the sports hall for storing the relief material in Iskenderun district of Hatay was evacuated by the district governor’s instruction. It is learned that a person named Selda Karafazlı, who reacted to this situation, was detained by the police and later released.

Bianet Kurdî editor Aren Yıldırım was detained in Istanbul on March 15, 2023. It is learned that Aren Yıldırım will be prevented from seeing a lawyer for 24 hours.

The trial of the case against Doğan Ergün, executive editor and İzel Sezer, managing editor back then of İleri Haber news portal, for a news report about bribery allegations, is held at Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No. 33 on March 14, 2023. The indictment demands sentence for 2 journalists on the charges of ‘unlawfully publicizing the information obtained through recording private conversations between persons’ and ‘insult’. After defence hearings the court adjourned the trial to June 20, 2023.

The final trial of the case against Etkin News Agency reporter Adil Demirci, on the grounds of ‘being an illegal organisation member’ and ‘making propaganda for an illegal organisation’ is held at Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No. 25 on March 14, 2023. The court acquitted Adil Demirci.

It is learned that 1073 tweets and 67 news reports about the advertisement of the International Defence Consulting Construction Industry and Trade Inc. (SADAT) aired during a programme in which CHP chair was a guest, are banned to access and ruled to be deleted on the grounds of violation of personal rights by Istanbul Anadolu Penal Court of Peace No. 4 on March 13, 2023.
It is learned that the news reports about a company to which a trustee was appointed, published on www.birgun.net/ (2 news reports), https://www.sozcu.com.tr, https://sendika.org, https://www.yenicaggazetesi.com.tr websites are banned to access on the grounds of violation of personal rights by Istanbul Anadolu Penal Court of Peace No. 4 on March 14, 2023.
It is learned that the news reports about the company that built the highway that was damaged in the earthquakes, published on https://www.evrensel.net, https://www.gazeteduvar.com.tr, https://www.cumhuriyet.com.tr websites are banned to access and ruled to be deleted on the grounds of violation of personal rights by Istanbul Anadolu Penal Court of Peace No. 4 on March 14, 2023.

It is learned that 11 people were detained in operations covering 6 cities through an Ankara based investigation on March 14, 2023.
