During the military operation in Koruköy village of Nusaybin, on 14 February 2017, 7 years old girl was fell ill because of the tear gas. She was stuck in the village because the security forces did not let the ambulance enter the village.

According to the news appeared in press on 14 February 2017, the arms of Masallah Temel’s baby were bruised by the guards of Manisa T Type Prison who were searching visitors at the entrance of the prison.

According to the statement of Law Office of the Oppressed made on 14 February 2017, 9 ESP and SGDF members who were detained on 12 February 2017 in Ankara, subjected to physical and psychological torture in custody.

Emrah Bal, distributor of Toplumsal Özgürlük, was detained on 9 February 2017 for being a deserter. According to the news appeared in press on 14 February 2017, he was constantly threatened in custody and when he was taken to Lutfiye Nuri Burat Hospital for medical examination, there he was injured with a knife by police official. After this incident, Bal was released without any record about his detention.

According to the news appeared in press on 14 February 2017, the commander of Aralık Gendarme Distirct Station gathered the villagers in village coffeehouse and threatened them by saying ‘I know what I will do, if 10 village guards do not come out of this village.’

Serhat Çicek and Namet Can, the Co-Mayors of Gokcebağ sub-distirct of Siirt, were arrested on 14 February 2017 for ‘being a member of an illegal organization.’

A pianist and an academic from Ankara State Conservatory Dengin Ceyhan was detained on 14 February 2017 for his social media shares.

DBP Chair for Çaldiran district Mehmet Nasır and another person was detained on 14 February 2017 in Van during house raids.
14 university students were detained on 13 February 2017 in Sivas for ‘being a member of an illegal organisation.’
Two persons named A.G. and H.K. were detained in Corum in connection with the operations against HDP and HDK members. The detainees are taken to Corum Police Headquarter.
34 persons, including the HDP Co-Chair for Ceyhan district, were detained on 14 February 2017 in Adana and Ceyhan. The detainees were taken to Adana Police Headquarter and Ceyhan Police Headquarter.
13 persons were detained on 14 February 2017 in Van’s Ercis, Muradiye and Caldiran districts during house raids.
B.Y. (15, male), who was detained on 11 February 2017 in Van, was arrested on 14 February 2017 for ‘being a member of an illegal organization.’
11 persons were detained on 14 February 2017 in Bitlis during house raids. The names of the detainees which could be reached are as follows: Rauf Akbulut, Yücel Sayın, Fevzi Kızılaya, Salih Güneri, Behçet Yılmaz, İrfan Yalçınkaya and Seyit Birlik.
12 persons, including HDP and DBP executives, were detained on 14 February 2017 in Mardin. . The names of the detainees which could be reached are as follows: Serif Celik (executive of MEYA-DER Mardin Branch), Ali Can (HDP provincial executive) Mehmet Huseyin Yilmaz, Ayten Esmez (DBP Co-Chair for Derik district), Hasip Celik, Cano Addan, Ali OZkan, Seyhmus Tekin, Devran Demir, Semsihan Akman (DBP Co-Chair for Omerli district).
11 persons, including a HDP party assembly member, were detained on 14 February in Ankara. The names of the detainees which could be reached are as follows: Nur Aytemus (HDP Party Assembly member), Metin Akdeniz, Dilan Çetin, Ziver Gültekin, Mehmet Ergen, Mehmet Turan, Ensar Bozkurt, Suphan Kahraman, Rahmi Orman, Daimi Doner. The detainees are taken to Ankara Police Headquarter.
5 HDP members were detained on 14 February 2017 in Tekirdağ during house raids. The detainees are taken to Cerkezkoy Police Headquarter.
Two university students Bahri Kusur and Emin Yesilmen, who were detained on 10 February 2017 in Ankara, were arrested for ‘being a member of an illegal organization.’
Out of 9 persons who had been detained on 9 February in Agri, 5 were sent to the court. 4 were released with judicial control condition. 1, DBP Agri provincial executive Abdurahman Yildirim was arrested for ‘helping and harboring an illegal organization.’

Silopi Penal Court of First Instance No 1 started on 14 February 2017 the case against HDP Sırnak MP Ferhat Encu. The indictment wants the defendant to be sentenced for resisting the police official who had raided his house during the curfew in Silopi. Encü participated the hearing via SEGBIS from Kandıra F Type Prison. After the defenses the court adjourned the hearing to 11 May 2017.

Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No 22 started on 14 February 2017 the case against Ayşe Batumlu, Derya Okatan, Nadire Mater, Cengiz Baysoy, Tuğrul Eryılmaz, Çilem Küçükkeleş, Yıldırım Türker, Necmiye Alpay, Jülide Kural, İlham Bakır, Kumru Başer, Hasan Cemal, Murat Uyurkulak, Said Sefa, Faruk Balıkçı and Can Dündar. The indictment wants the defendants to be sentenced for ‘making propaganda of an illegal organization’ and ‘printing the documents of an illegal organization.’ The defendants were chief editors on duty of daily Ozgur Gundem.
The court sentenced former HDP MP Cilem Kucukkeles and Cengiz Baysoy to 1 year 3 months imprisonment for ‘making propaganda of an illegal organization’ and 6,000 TL for ‘printing the documents of an illegal organization.’ Writer Imam Canpolat was sentenced to 1 year 3 months imprisonment for ‘making propaganda of an illegal organization.’ The court deferred the announcement of the verdict.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case of Nadire Mater, Hasan Cemal, Yıldırım Türker and Murat Uyurkulak to 7 March 2017; the hearing of the case of Derya Okatan, Faruk Balıkçı, Necmiye Alpay and Dicle Anter to 9 March 2017; the hearing of the case ofJulide Kural to 20 March 2017; the hearing of the case of Ayse Batumlu and Kumru Baser to 9 March 2017; the hearing of the case of Tugrul Eryılmaz to 20 April 2017.
Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No 13 continued on 14 February 2017 the case against Ayse Duzkan, Ragıp Duran and managing editor of daily Inan Kizilkaya and former chief editor of the daily Huseyin Aykol and Mehmet Ali Celebi. Inan was not brought to this hearing. Court adjourned the hearing to 9 May 2017.

Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No 22 continued on 14 February 2017 the case against writer and journalist Hasan Cemal. The indictment wants the defendant to be sentenced for ‘making propaganda of an illegal organization’ in his article titled “Fehman Huseyin” which was published on 11 July 2015 on T24 internet portal. The court sentenced Cemal to 1 year 3 months imprisonment and deferred the announcement of the verdict.

Istanbul Buyukcekmece Penal Court of First Instance No 2 continued on 14 February 2017 the case against writer Yilmaz Odabasi. The indictment wants the defendant to be sentenced for ‘insulting the Head of State’ in his 20 August 2015 dated article in daily Meydan. After the defense, the court acquitted Odabasi.

The Bureau of Press Crimes in Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office prepared an indictment against CHP Party Assembly Member Sera Kadigil for ‘insulting the religious values of some part of people openly.’ The indictment wants the defendant to be sentenced to 7 years imprisonment.

Adana Penal Court of First Instance continued on 14 February 2017 the case against the Chair for Adana Branch of Egitim-Sen Ahmet Karagoz. The indictment wants the defendant to be sentenced for a speech he delivered at 1 September 2016 Peace Day Rally. After the defense, the court acquitted Karagoz.

According to the news appeared in press on 14 February 2017, the trustee to Batman Municipality Ertug Sevket Aksoy, in his instruction to to Batman Graveyard Directorate dated 20 December 2016 and No 2645, ordered the removal all headstone, which, he alleged, were making propaganda of an illegal organization. Upon this instruction, 23 headstones were wanted to be removed.

1 soldier was killed on 14 February 2014 in Amanos Mountains at Hatay during a clash between PKK militants and security forces.
A bomb blasted on 14 February 2017 in Mardin’s Dargecit district when an armored vehicle passed by. It is reported that no one was killed or injured.
