Curfew and blockade in Cizre district of Şırnak reached its 32nd day as of 14 January 2016. And the operations and attacks of the Security Forces continued.
Abdulmenaf Yılmaz (50) was reportedly killed with shrapnel when his neighbourhood was shot with tank bombs.
2 unidentified persons died during the continuing clashes in Cudi quarter.

On 13 January 2016, Emar Mihemed Baqir (29) was killed and Ednan El-Hewas (17) was wounded when military troops opened fire against a group of persons trying to pass the border from Serekaniyê region in Syria to Ceylanpınar district of Şanlıurfa.

Security Directorate in Çınar district of Diyarbakır was attacked on 13 January 2016 with a bomb-laden vehicle. 5 civilians including 3 children and 1 police officer were killed during the attack. 40 persons including 6 police officers were also wounded.
3 of the casualties were reportedly died when the building next to the Security Directorate collapsed.
3 police officers were wounded on 13 January 2016 in Yüksekova district of Hakkari when a bomb exploded during the passage of an armoured police vehicle.

The police prevented a group of persons who wanted to stage a demonstration on 13 January 2016 in front of UN House in Ankara to protest in the suicidal bomb attack on Sultanahmet Square in İstanbul and detained 9 protesters. 10 German tourists were killed during the attack.

Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) member Esra Güzel Ersoy and Socialist Youth Association (Sosyalist Gençlik Derneği – SGD) member Ekin Baran Taştan were detained on 13 January 2016 in Mersin when they closed the D-400 road to protest in the curfews imposed in 3 districts.
The police intervened a group of persons who staged a protest on 12 January 2016 in Ceyhan district of Adana and detained 6 children.
4 members of New Democratic Youth (Yeni Demokratik Gençlik – YDG) were detained under beatings in Ankara for hanging a banner on the walls of a mall in Kızılay.

Security Forces conducted operations on 13 January 2016 in Mardin and detained 5 persons including municipality workers and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) members in Ömerli district, 3 persons in Derik district and 1 person in Nusaybin district.
6 persons in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı, 1 person in Tuzluca district of Iğdır, 9 persons in Mersin, 3 persons in Ankara, and 7 persons in Didim district of Aydın were also detained during the operations.
2 persons who were detained in Bursa were arrested on 13 January 2016 on the allegations of “being member of an illegal organisation”. 7 persons were also arrested in Elazığ on 13 January 2016 on the allegations of “making propaganda of an illegal organisation”.
