(08/055) Child Subjected to Physical Violence of Soldier in Hakkari…
On August 14, 2025, it is learned from the news coverage of August 14, 2025 that 1 child in Hakkari, who was subjected to physical violence of a specialist sergeant for hitting his wife with a bicycle, had a broken arm. It is reported that detained specialist sergeant was released by the criminal court of peace on judicial control conditions including a ban on leaving the country and signing a petition.

On August 13, 2025, it is learned from news coverage of August 13, 2025 that, a person named M.Ş. who was released from prison was called by a person calling himself as a police officer and was summoned to Security Directorate, and was subjected to verbal violence of the person when he refused to accept.
M.Ş. stated the following in his statement to the press “A person called me and told me that he was calling from the Security Directorate and that I had a signature to sign (…) He told me to come to the Security Directorate at Kızıltepe intersection and that he would pick me up at the door. When my lawyer told me not to go, I called him again and told him that I would go with my lawyer. He then insulted me by saying, ‘You brainless woman, I have business with you, I will not see your lawyer, I will see you’. When I said I would not go to the police station, he continued his insults.”

On August 13, 2025 it is learned from the news coverage of August 13, 2025 that, the letter written to PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imrali Prison by a prisoner named Fecriye Benek in Kayseri Bünyan Prison and the photographs she sent were seized by the prison administration.
(08/058) Prisoners Adjourned to Release by Prison Administration and Observation Board…
On August 12, 2025, it is learned from news coverage of August 12, 2025 that the release of 14 prisoners in Karabük T Type Prison, who completed their prison sentences between April and August 2025, were adjourned for various periods by the Prison Administration and Observation Board (CİGK) for the purpose of completing their prison sentences. Prisoners whose release was adjourned are: Hasan Öğüt, Ali Koç, Mehmet Sarıaltun, Aydın Kudat, Abdurrahman Güner, Ejder Doğan, Halil Temel, Haydar Alkoç, Hacı Aslan, Ali Haydar Elyakut, Muhittin Pirinçioğlu, Mehmet Şirin Taşdemir, Adem Oktay, Hakkı Aygün.

It is learned that Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office initiated an investigation against Republican People’s Party (CHP) chair and Manisa MP Özgür Özel, on the grounds of ‘insulting the President’, for the remarks he made in a statement to press on August 13, 2025.
