According to news reports published on June 15, 2025, it was learned that a prisoner named Fırat Erbağa has been held in solitary confinement for two months at the Erzincan High Security Prison. The report also stated that the relatives of prisoners who came to visit were searched naked.

According to news reports published on June 16, 2025, it was alleged that Sıddık Güler, a sick prisoner held at Hatay İskenderun T-Type Prison, had not been transferred to the Forensic Medicine Institution (ATK) despite the decision of the İskenderun Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.

According to news reports published on June 16, 2025, the release of Nedim Yılmaz, an inmate held at the Bolu F-Type Prison who completed his life sentence on July 29, 2023, was postponed until September 3, 2025, by the Prison Administration and Observation Board (CİGK) on the grounds that he had not shown remorse. was postponed until September 3, 2025. The reports also stated that this was the eighth time Nedim Yılmaz’s release had been postponed.

The trial of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, which was initiated at the Istanbul Heavy Penal Court No. 14 on the grounds of his statements regarding the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor, continued on June 16, 2025, in the courtroom located within the Istanbul Marmara (Silivri) Prison Complex. The indictment seeks the punishment of Ekrem İmamoğlu for “publicly insulting a public official in connection with his duties,” “threats,” and “targeting persons who have been involved in the fight against terrorism.” Following the defences statements, the court adjourned the hearing to July 16, 2025.

According to news reports on June 14, 2025, the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against 19 people who were detained during a police intervention against a human chain protest in Istanbul’s Beyoğlu district on the anniversary of the Gezi Park protests was accepted by the Istanbul Criminal Court of First Instance. No. 5 The indictment seeks the punishment of the 19 individuals for “violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911.”
