The beds of the trucks were full of iron sticks. 7-8 people blocked us. My husband, Cengiz Türkan, and my 8-year-old son were in the car in front. They took the sticks out of the car without asking anything. My husband said, ‘We bought a house from here’. Then they said, ‘We do not accept Kurds’. (…) They hit my husband and brother on the head and injured them (…) We got into the car with my mother. We went the other way, but they closed that place too. They were looking at their phones. They had already taken our photo, video, license plate. When we saw them, we changed the way. We wanted to take the forest road. We went after a while. There was another group there too. They were all armed. While coming towards us, we took another road and 3-4 cars followed us. There were old cars and commercial vans behind us. They closed all three roads. We stopped. They got us out of the vehicle. They started hitting without asking questions. They also started beating my brother and his friend (…) There were 15-20 vehicles on the third road we entered, they blocked the two-way road to Tire with vehicles. They also took a video of us while committing violence. ‘How we beat terrorists should be a lesson to others. Don’t you know that they cannot enter our territory?’ After my brother vomited blood, I threw myself on him so that they could not beat me more. They held a long-barrelled gun to my head (…) They broke our phones. They tried to strangle my mother with the handle of her purse.
