(08/053) Extra-judicial Executions in Ağrı…
Special Forces started operations on 13 August 2015 after the attacks against Gendarmerie Command and Security Directorate in Diyadin district of Ağrı. The children Orhan Aslan (16) and Emrah Aydemir (15) who were working in a bakery in Atatürk quarter were shot to death on the allegations of “being PKK militants”. The children were on their way to a wood yard to bring some wood for bakery.
An unidentified person was also killed by the police in Murat quarter. Both Ağrı Governorate and General Staff announced that the killed persons were the militants who organised the attacks and were shot to death in an armed clash.

İbrahim Turan (44) who was wounded during the armed attack on 29 July 2015 in Çınar district of Diyarbakır died on 12 August 2015 in the hospital. One police officer and one civilian died previously during the same attack.
A police vehicle was opened fire on 29 July 2015 in Çınar. Police officer Mehmet Uyar and pedestrian Osman Caran were killed. Pedestrian İbrahim Turan was wounded.
On 12 August 2015, one soldier died when a gendarmerie station was attacked with a rocket launcher and long barreled weapons in Hani district of Diyarbakır. 4 soldiers and one temporary village guard were also wounded. 2 militants were allegedly killed during the armed clash that broke out after attack.
3 soldiers were wounded when a bomb exploded during the passage of an armoured vehicle on 12 August 2015 in Sarıkamış district of Kars.
A militant was allegedly killed during an armed clash on 12 August 2015 on the road between Iğdır and Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı.
One police officer was heavily wounded when a bomb-laden vehicle exploded during the passage of an armoured vehicle on 12 August 2015 in Ovacık district of Tunceli.
One police officer was wounded when unidentified persons opened fire against a police control point on 13 August 2015 in Anamur district of Mersin.
A militant was allegedly killed during an armed clash on 11 August 2015 in Çukurca district of Hakkari.
On 12 August 2015, Governorate of Hakkari announced military security zone in rural areas of Yüksekova district for 15 days until 27 August 2015. Entrance of civilians to the military security zones was also banned.
On 13 August 2015, Durak Gendarmerie Station was attacked in Şemdinli district of Hakkari. An armed clash broke out after attack and Şadi Töre who was working the garden of his house was wounded.
(08/055) Person Beaten by the Police in Gaziantep…
On 11 August 2015 in Gaziantep, police officers detained Berrin Yiğit under beatings. A police vehicle reportedly hit a civilian car and Berrin Yiğit was detained after a dispute between the police officers and the persons in the car.
(08/056) Torture and Ill-treatment in Custody in Bingöl…
According to the press announcement held on 12 August 2015, 5 persons including Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chair for Bingöl province Mervan Temiz who were detained in connection with a PKK investigation in Bingöl were handcuffed from behind and subjected torture including beating. The detainees were arrested after a while.
(08/057) Funeral Intervened in Hakkari…
The funeral of PKK militant Barış Tekçe who was killed in an armed clash in Çukurca district of Hakkari was prevented by the security forces. The police used real bullets and gas bombs to disperse the crowd. 9 persons were hospitalised due to excessive use of tear gas.

An operation was conducted on 12 August 2015 against the executives of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) who proclaimed local autonomy due to continuing and increasing violations of human rights in Şırnak.
After the public statement on 10 August 2015 by the DBP Co-Chair for Şırnak province Salih Gülenç, Special Forces conducted house raids against Şırnak Co-Mayors Serhat Kadırhan and Eylem Onuk, Vice-Mayor Murat Kabul, Municipality Assembly Member Kamil Külter, Salih Gülenç, Zozan Anık, DBP Chiar for Central district Ramazan Oğur, DBP executives Leyla İşlek, Salih Ürek, Human Rights Association Chair for Şırnak branch Emirhan Uysal.
Ramazan Uğur, Salih Ürek, Leyla İşlek and Kamil Külter who were at home were detained, remaining persons were not at home.
Hayri İmak (61) who had been living abroad for the last 30 years for being wanted and returned to Turkey on 11 August 2015 was detained twice in İstanbul and Elazığ Airport on the allegations that he could be a suicidal bomber.
The police conducted house raids on 12 August 2015 in Küçükçekmece district of İstanbul. Güner Yıldız and Cengiz Canbay were detained during the raids.
Fesih Sayak (55) who went to Erzurum H-type Prison on 12 August 2015 to visit his son was detained by the soldiers without any reason when he was leaving the prison.
During house raids conducted in Edirne, D.H. (16), Feyyaz Araz (24) and Yusuf Salhan (21) were reportedly detained on the allegations of “making propaganda of an illegal organisation”. 4 persons were also detained in Gaziantep for the same allegations.
The police and military troops conducted house raids in Batman and Gercüş district and detained 6 persons on the allegations of “being member of an illegal organisation”. 6 persons were also detained in Van for the same allegations.
Müslüm Karak and his son Baran Karak who were detained during operations in Suruç district of Şanlıurfa were arrested on 12 August 2015 on allegations of “recruiting members to an illegal organisation”.
