It is learned from the news coverage of November 12, 2021 that, 4 HPG militants died in an air operation of Turkish Armed Forces units to Avaşin area of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government on October 8, 2021.
It is learned that 5 soldiers got wounded in the crash of a military armoured vehicle on Hatay-Antakya roadway on November 13, 2021.
It is learned from the news coverage of November 14, 2021 that, 1 HGP militant died in an air operation of Turkish Armed Forces to the rural areas of Siirt on June 20, 2021 and 1 HPG militant died in an air operation on September 20, 2021.
(11/134) Person Forced to be a Police Informant in Van…
It is learned from the news coverage of November 14, 2021 that, B. H., a student of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University was called to a police station by persons claim to be police officers and was forced to be a police informant.
B. H. stated the following to the press: “They said they called me with good intent, and that I would not be discharged from dormitory if I become friends with them, and they would help me in case I have a problem at the university and can help me with my grades. They wanted me to be a police informant. Although I clearly rejected they insisted on becoming friends. When I said that it was illegal and I would file a criminal complaint, they said ‘Do it if you wish’ in a relaxed way. 3 men who claim to be police officers, illegally interrogated me in a closed room.”

It is learned from the news coverage of November 11, 2021 that, journalist Elif Ersoy who is on hunger strike for 64 days to demand an end to right violations in Kayseri Bünyan Women’s Closed Prison, was not given Vitamin B1.

It is learned that the appeal made on November 12, 2021 to chief public prosecutor’s office in Bursa by PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan’s lawyers, family and tutelary in order to visit him was not responded.

It is learned that 3 people were detained for throwing red paint to the walls of Boğaziçi Rectorate building to protest the precaution order for the appointed rector, which was issued as per the Law no. 6284 on the Protection of Family and Prevention of Violence Against Women on November 12, 2021. 3 people are released by the court on judicial control conditions on November 14, 2021.

The police intervened the press declaration of the Community Houses to protest the loss of value in Turkish Lira against US Dollar, held in Beyoğlu district of Istanbul on November 13, 2021 and detained 6 people.

The police prevented the press declaration of families of disappeared persons and human rights defenders in Batman on November 13, 2021. It is learned that upon the police prevention on the grounds of governorate’s ban on events, the press declaration was held at the Human Rights Association (IHD) Batman office.

On November 14, 2021, gendarmerie and private security staff used physical violence to intervene the strike action of unpaid workers of Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in Mersin on November 14, 2021.

On November 14, 2021, Abdullah Onar, a tradesman in Van who protests price rise in goods, is detained by the police. Abdullah Onar is released after statement procedures on the same day.

On November 14, 2021, İkizköy Environment Committee member Deniz Gümüşel is detained by the police using physical violence, as she was protesting the olive feast in Milas district of Muğla which is sponsored by thermal power plant owners. Deniz Gümüşel who was detained on the grounds of ‘provoking hatred and hostility among public’, is released after statement procedures on November 15, 2021.

On November 13, 2021, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) district co-chair İsmail İşli is detained on the grounds of ‘making propaganda for an illegal organisation on social media’, in a house raid in Alanya district of Antalya on November 13, 2021. İsmail İşli is released by the court on judicial control conditions on the same day.

On November 14, 2021, 5 people including 4 children are detained in house raids in Nusaybin district of Mardin. The reason of detention is unknown.

On November 12, 2021, 3 people (Ferhan Katar, Muhittin Barınç and Emin Çavlak) are detained by the gendarmerie raiding houses in Şırnak. The reason of detention is unknown.
(01/146) People on Trial in Malatya…
The final trial of the case against 20 people for being representatives of the Democratic Society Congress (DTK), is held at Malatya Heavy Penal Court No 5 on November 12, 2021.
The court sentenced 3 people (Ali Piro, Hüsamettin Kurultay and Hüseyin Koğu) to 6 years and 3 months each on the charge of ‘being an illegal organisation member’. The court acquitted 17 people.
On October 10, 2020, 11 people have been arrested. 8 of them were released upon objection and 3 people were released at the first trial on January 14, 2021.

The trial of the case against 90 members and executives of HDP and Democratic Regions Party (DBP), is held at Antep Heavy Penal Court No 2 on November 12, 2021.
After the defence hearings the court adjourned the trial to December 27, 2021.

It is learned from the news coverage of November 12, 2021 that, 8 people including HDP’s Kadıköy district co-chair Nimet Çelebi were imposed a penalty fine of 3,469 Turkish Liras for ‘not wearing face masks and not following social distance rules’ in the Newroz celebration in Dumlupınar neighbourhood in Kadıköy district of Istanbul on March 18, 2021.

It is learned that the commemoration for Seyit Rıza, which was to be held by Dersim Labour and Democracy Platform on November 15, 2021 in Tunceli, is banned by Tunceli Governorate on the grounds of Covid-19 pandemic.
(11/151) Ban of Events in Tunceli and Hakkari…
Tunceli Governorate made a declaration on November 8, 2021 and announced that all outdoor meetings, demonstrations, assemblies, protests, sit-in protests, hunger strikes, opening stands, collecting petitions, concerts, festivals, distributing leaflets, hanging banners, firing and carrying torches, conferences, panel talks and so on are banned for 15 days as of November 9, 2021.
Hakkari Governorate made a declaration on November 13, 2021 and announced that all meetings, open-door assemblies, demonstrations, marches, sit-in protests, human chains, op-ed stands, public sessions, any kind of audio-visual activities with mobile audio-visual vehicles, hunger strikes, opening stands, collecting petitions, flying sky lanterns or balloons, commemorations, concerts, festivals, theatre plays, screening shows, firing torches, distributing leaflets, hanging banners and so on are banned for 15 days as of November 13, 2021. All events are banned in Hakkari for 540 days since June 5, 2020.

On November 12, 2021, 16 people are detained in operations covering 4 cities through an Istanbul based investigation.
On November 14, 2021, 3 people are detained in Edirne in an alleged attempt to illegally flee to Greece.

The Ministry of Health declared that 217 people died due to Covid-19 pandemic and the daily number of Covid-19 cases is 23,637 as of November 12, 2021.
The Ministry of Health declared that 215 people died due to Covid-19 pandemic and the daily number of Covid-19 cases is 22,583 as of November 13, 2021.
The Ministry of Health declared that 189 people died due to Covid-19 pandemic and the daily number of Covid-19 cases is 21,624 as of November 14, 2021.
The death toll from Covid-19 in Turkey increased to 73,531 and total number of confirmed ill patients is 8,408,166 as of November 14, 2021.
On November 12, 2021, pharmacist Ahmet Uysal in Bursa lost his life due to Covid-19.
On November 13, 2021, pharmacist Ali Ünsal Keskiner in Bartın lost his life due to Covid-19.
