It is learned that 2 workers died and 1 worker got wounded due to an attack against a road construction in rural areas of Hakkari’s Yüksekova district on June 10, 2019. Hakkari Governorate declared that the attack was carried out by HPG militants.
(06/027) Police Intervention Against “I Want My Job Back” Protest in Ankara…
The police intervened the press declaration of public labourers who had been dismissed by a state of emergency decree and have been struggling 944 days to regain their jobs, intended to be held in front of Human Rights Monument in Yüksel Street on June 10, 2019 at 13.30 and 18.00.
It was reported that during police intervention against the press declaration which was planned to be held at 13.30 on June 10, 2019, 2 people (Acun Karadağ and Nazan Bozkurt) and at 18.00 3 people Derviş Lermi and Nazan Bozkurt) were detained.
Thus in total 4 people were detained due to press declaration intended to be held in Yüksel Street on June 10, 2019. It is learned that detainees were released the same day.

The police intervened the protestors in front of Çankaya Public Health Directorate on June 10, 2019, who rally to regain their jobs from which they had been dismissed by state of emergency decrees, and detained 3 people (Mahmut Konuk, Derviş Lermi and Atilla Doruk Dinçer). It is learned that 3 people were released the same day.
(06/029) Police Intervention Against a Protest in Istanbul…
Nursel Tanrıverdi and Selvi Polat who make a sit-in protest at Bakırköy Square on June 10, 2019, to regain their jobs from which they had been dismissed by state of emergency decrees are detained by the police intervening the protest. 2 people are released on the same day.
Nursel Tanrıverdi and Selvi Polat were arrested and released 5 times by the court so far, on the charge of violating The Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No 2911 by holding a protest in Bakırköy Square and were released by the court. They were also acquitted on 6 different cases opened against them on the same charge.

It is learned that A.B.Y. who was detained on the charge of ‘insulting the President in social media posts’, in Yatağan district of Muğla on June 9, 2019 is released by the court on the same day.

On June 10, 2019, 49 people are detained in operations covering 3 cities through an Adana based investigation.
It is learned that 2 of 5 people who were detained in Edirne in alleged attempt to flee are arrested by the court on June 10, 2019 and that 3 people are still under custody.

It is learned from the news coverage of June 10, 2019 that access to a tweet of journalist İsmail Saymaz, which was about an expression of Esenler district mayor Tevfik Göksu, is banned by the court.

Worker Health and Worker Safety Council (ISIG) revealed that at least 163 workers including 9 children, 12 women, and 6 asylum seekers died while working in May, 2019. According to ISIG data at least 716 workers died due to labor killings/labor accidents within the first 5 months of 2019.
