Ministry of National Defence announced that 1 soldier (Harun Çınar) who got wounded due to mortar fire on December 2, 2019 within the military operation to north and east Syria, died in hospital.

It is learned from the news coverage of December 2, 2019 that Şehzade Kurt and Azim Yacan, co-mayors of İpekyolu district of Van, are transferred to Erzurum E Type Closed Prison from Van T Type Closed Prison under coercion. Şehzade Kurt and Azim Yacan were detained on November 8, 2019 and were arrested on the charges of ‘being an illegal organisation member’ and ‘making propaganda for an illegal organisation’.

The police intervened the press declaration of public labourers who had been dismissed by a state of emergency decree and have been struggling 1119 days to regain their jobs, intended to be held in front of Human Rights Monument in Yüksel Street on December 2, 2019 at 13.30, and at 18.00.
It was reported that during police intervention against the press declaration which was planned to be held at 13.30 on December 2, 2019, 2 people (Nazan Bozkurt and Alev Şahin) and at 18.00 2 people (Nazan Bozkurt and Alev Şahin) were detained.
Thus in total 4 people were detained due to press declaration intended to be held in Yüksel Street on December 2, 2019. It is learned detained people were released on the same days they were detained.

The police intervened the protestors in front of Çankaya Public Health Directorate on December 2, 2019, who rally to regain their jobs from which they had been dismissed by state of emergency decrees, and detained 2 people (Mahmut Konuk and Alev Şahin). It is learned that 2 people were released the same day.

The police intervened the sit-in protest at Bakırköy Square on December 2, 2019 of Nursel Tanrıverdi who rally to regain her job from which she had been dismissed by state of emergency decree, and detained her by using physical violence.

The police intervened the press declaration about Selahattin Demirtaş’s health and demanding freedom for political prisoners, on Kılıçali Paşa Street in Beyoğlu district of Istanbul on December 2, 2019 and detained 5 people.

7 of 30 people including Human Rights Association (IHD), People’s Democratic Party (HDP), Free Women’s Movement (TJA) members and executives and Democratic Society Congress (DTK) delegates who were detained in house raids in Batman on November 27, 2019, are arrested by the court on the charge of ‘being an illegal organisation member’ on December 2, 2019. Arrested people are: Ayşe Adlığ Acar, Elif Koyuncu, Halime Çetinkaya, Mehmet Emin Özek, Mehmet Yaşar, Mehmet Yıldırım and Serdar Öztekin. It is learned that 3 people (Mahfuz Akgül, Güler Turhan, Murat Tekin) are released on judicial control conditions and 20 people are still under custody.

11 people who were detained in house raids in central and Pervari districts of Siirt on November 27, 2019 are released on December 2, 2019.

It is learned from the news coverage of December 2, 2019 that, police raided a house in Sur district of Diyarbakır, locked family members in the bathroom, seized their phones and searched the house; and detained 2 people (Mazlum Çiçek and Mahir Çiçek) using physical violence. The reason of detention is unknown.

25 of 45 people including military members on active duty who were detained through an Istanbul based investigation on November 26, 2019, and following days are arrested on December 2, 2019. It is learned that 20 people are released.
