According to news reports on July 21, 2026, it was learned that Veli Bilgin, a preparatory-class student at the Air Force Academy in Yalova, died at the hospital after his health deteriorated during training and he was admitted due to heatstroke. It was reported that three other military students were also hospitalized for the same reason during the training.

According to news reports on July 20, 2026, it was learned that an investigation was launched against Erkut Kibar, a member of the Artvin Hopa Community Center, on the grounds of his social media posts regarding the NATO Summit held in Ankara, and that he was summoned for questioning at the instruction of the Cybercrime Unit under the Ankara Police Department.

It was reported that the X social media account belonging to artist and Ahbap Association founder Haluk Levent—who was arrested as part of an investigation into the association—was blocked under Article 8/A of Law No. 5651.
