(07/001) Newspapers Not Given in Prison…
It is learned from the news coverage of June 30, 2020 that, prisoners in Antep L Type Prison are not given Yeni Yaşam and Evrensel newspapers, on the grounds that these are not entitled to official announcements.
(07/002) Police Intervention to Marches of Bar Associations in Adana and Diyarbakır…
The police prevented the “Defence March” of Adana Bar Association on June 30, 2020; on the grounds of lack of governorate’s permission. It is learned that some of the lawyers were subjected to police violence during intervention. After police prevention lawyers had a sit-in protest.

The police intervened the press declarations of public labourers who had been dismissed by a state of emergency decree and have been struggling 1330 days to regain their jobs, in front of Human Rights Monument in Yüksel Street on June 30, 2020 at 13.30 and 18.00 and forced people away from the monument by using physical violence.
(07/004) Police Intervention Against a Protest in Düzce…
On June 30, 2020, the police intervened the press declaration of Alev Şahin in order to regain her job from which she was dismissed by a state of emergency decree, in front of Düzce Governorate and detained her. Alev Şahin was released on the same day.
(07/005) Police Intervention Against a Protest in Istanbul…
2 people (Sultan Kaya and Hasan Basri Yıldız) who were detained for having a press declaration in front of President’s house in Üsküdar district of Istanbul on June 29, 2020, to support lawyers Ebru Timtik and Aytaç Ünsal who are on death fast in prison to demand fair trial, are arrested by the court on the charge of ‘being an illegal organisation member’, on June 30, 2020.
(07/006) Detained HDP Members in Istanbul…
On June 30, 2020, 9 members of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Youth Assembly are detained in house raids in Istanbul, on the grounds of ‘being an illegal organisation member’ and ‘making propaganda for an illegal organisation’. Names of detained people are unknown.
(07/007 Detained People in Diyarbakır…
On June 30, 2020, 4 people including a child are detained in house raids in Zorova rural neighbourhood of Sur district of Diyarbakır. Detained people are: Tacettin Kardaş, Halil Aslan, Feyzi Çetiner and R. K. (17). The reason of detention is unknown.
(07/008) Investigation Against HDP MP and DTK Co-Chair…
It is learned that Leyla Güven, DTK co-chair and People’s Democratic Party (HDP) MP who has been stripped of MP status; gave her official statement at Diyarbakır Courthouse on June 30, 2020, through two investigations against her on the grounds of an event she participated in and her social media posts.
(07/009) Covid-19 Pandemic…
Ministry of Health declared that 16 people died due to Covid-19 pandemic and 1,293 new Covid-19 cases were diagnosed on June 30, 2020.
The death toll from Covid-19 in Turkey increased to 5,131 and total number of confirmed cases is 199,906 as of June 30, 2020.
