It is learned that 1 customs employee who got wounded in the rocket attack which was stated to be of HPG militants to a vehicle of Gürbulak Customs Office in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı on March 2, 2020, died in hospital on March 3, 2020. 16 people have got wounded in the attack which killed 2 people.

It is learned that 1 soldier died and 9 soldiers got wounded in an attack of Syrian Army to Turkish Armed Forces personnel in Idlib city of Syria on March 3, 2020.

It is learned that Aysel Koç, a prisoner in Sincan Women’s Prison, died on March 3, 2020. It is stated in the news reports that, prison administration claims it to be suicide and that, Aysel Koç have said “they will not let us come out of here alive” to his father a while ago.

It is learned from the news coverage of March 3, 2020 that, Metin Aktin, a prisoner kept in solitary cell for 2 months in Trabzon Beşikdüzü T Type Prison, is on hunger strike since February 13, 2020.

It is learned from the news coverage of March 3, 2020 that, 2 prisoners (Kemal Yiğit and Murat Bakudan) who were transferred to Rize Kalkandere L Type Prison and who rejected strip search at the entrance, were subjected to physical violence.
It is learned from the news coverage of March 3, 2020 that, Mehmet Reşit, a prisoner who has been transferred from Mardin Prison to Giresun L Type Prison was being kept in a solitary cell for 60 days. It is also stated in the news reports that 24 people are kept in wards for 8 prisoners.

It is learned from the news coverage of March 3, 2020 that, prisoners in Rize Kalkandere L Type Prison were referred to infirmary with delay.
It is learned from the news coverage of March 3, 2020 that prisoners in Giresun L Type Prison are forced to be examined in handcuffs during hospital visits, and political prisoners who are referred to hospitals are kept in same area with prisoners of ISIS cases.

The police intervened the sit-in protest after press declaration of public labourers who had been dismissed by a state of emergency decree and have been struggling 1211 days to regain their jobs, in front of Human Rights Monument in Yüksel Street on March 3, 2020 at 13.00, and forced participants away from the monument.

The police intervened the press declaration for Mustafa Koçak, İbrahim Gökçek and Helin Bölek, at Taksim Square in Beyoğlu district of Istanbul on March 3, 2020 and detained 2 people (Aygül Bilgi and Özlem with unknown surname). Mustafa Koçak is on death fast for 246 days in Izmir Şakran T Type Prison, to demand a fair trial. İbrahim Gökçek and Helin Bölek have gone on a hunger strike on June 18, 2019 and İbrahim Gökçek turned his strike to a death fast on January 3, 2020 and Helin Bölek did it so on January 20, 2020.

Mezopotamya News Agency reporter İdris Sayılğan who was detained and was arrested on February 29, 2020, in Edirne on the grounds of ‘video recording in forbidden areas’, is released on March 3, 2020, after his lawyers’ appeal was accepted by the court.

It is learned that the police entering Faculty of Language History and Geography in Ankara University upon a bomb call on March 3, 2020, detained 7 students for having a quarrel with them. Names of detained students are unknown.
(03/052) Helin Hasret Şen Case…
The trial of the case against police officer A. E., for death of 12 years old Helin Hasret Şen, is held at Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No 1 on March 3, 2020. Helin Hasret Şen died due to fire opened from an armoured police vehicle on October 12, 2015, during curfew in Sur district of Diyarbakır.
Defendant police officer Abdullah E. joined the trial via sound and vision system, and another police officer is heard as witness and stated the following: “There were no call to police information center about a public problem such as digging ditches, or armed clashes between 07.00 – 10.00 on October 12, 2015”. After defence hearings the court rejected to arrest Abdullah E. and exemption of him to trials, and adjourned the trial to June 4, 2020.

The final trial of the case through “Fethullahist Terrorist Organisation / Parallel State Organisation”, against Muzaffer Madak, former news editor of Samanyolu TV, is held at Ankara Heavy Penal Court No 19 on March 3, 2020. The court sentenced Muzaffer Madak to 6 years 10 months and 15 days for ‘being an illegal organisation member’.

The final trial of the case against actor Atalay Demirci is held at Ankara Heavy Penal Court No 19 on March 3, 2020. The court sentenced Atalay Demirci to 5 years for ‘being an illegal organisation member’.

Siirt Governorate made a declaration on March 2, 2020, and announced 8 areas in Pervari, Eruh and Baykan districts as special security zones until December 31, 2020.
